I agree with that. Fernandez did well for the assist but overall was appalling. We'll never know, TLF, but I doubt your back four would have conceded that many yesterday.

However, I still maintain that our lack of leadership is a big problem. Inside sources have confirmed our players really are a thoughtful, quiet bunch. Remember how Ash used to get them fired up? We are missing that. Seeing Siggy yesterday berate some of his team mates maybe he's the answer? Cork isn't.

yes, there is no natural leader there and I never saw Siggy as captain material as he seemed a bit of a quiet man who does his taking with his feet. But cometh the hour cometh the man, give him the armband and lets see.

Have to make comment on Kevin Friend yesterday. I was staggered that a top class referee doesn't seem to know that the d on the edge of the box is 10 yards from the penalty spot. The free kick we had for Siggys goal was a yard or so inside the d smack in the middle, so why did he not move the wall back to the same distance beyond the spot, rather than count what was clearly not a 1o yards. It wound the **** out of me yesterday. It is basics and despite Cork pointing it out he still didn't do it.

Lets put things into perspective here and admit our defence is one of the worst shambles with nobody taking charge and everyone doing their own thing that is letting the side down....It does not matter who is selected to play we always look dodgy at the back.. We are missing Ash big time with his organisation skills at the back and it looks as if we need a better defensive coach as we have been poor all season.....Fab in goal is not exactly having a good season either and have made quite a few errors especially his positioning and reaction is not as good as previous seasons and when i look at him he looks over weight but that might be my opinion only....I thought bringing on Rangal was a good choice in the end as he has experience and i could see what Bob was trying to do.
Lets just put our defensive errors aside for a moment then we have many positives and bringing on Llorente was a great choice and he finally showed why he is a world cup winner, He might have taken a bit more time than most players but he looks to have cracked it and was involved with 4 goals and that shows he is hungry in just 30 minutes play.....We have plenty of positives to look forward too but while we have a very lets be honest here a defence with good individual skills but are not organized enough we will always be under threat by every team we play....Would a top defensive coach be more beneficial than actually bringing players in.....the answer to that is i dont know but that is the area we must get right as a matter of urgency because if we had the organisation like we have had when ash was here we would have won that game yesterday 5 - 1.....just my opinion....

In many respects, Palace were lucky to get back into the game at 1-3. It all stemmed from Fer's awful back pass that was way too short, ended up with Benteke and Amat having to concede the corner. The defending at that corner was abysmal....

Then Palace got lucky again with Cork's unfortunate own goal - Zaha's shot hit Cork and could have gone anywhere....

Their 4th goal was down to yet more abysmal defending of a corner - basically a replica of their second goal; corner flighted to the penalty spot and headed down a yard or two from the net.....

Despite being 3-1 up, confidence was "brittle" and Fer's mistake kick-started the crazy finish to the match.

Hopefully, confidence will start to grow and we will see out games more "professionally" - let's get 3 more home wins in December, and beat at least one of WBA and Boro on the road...

Fair to say Jose Mourinho and Jon Moss have history. Sent him off at West Ham last year. JM ranted at him at half-time and got stadium ban

Swansea's nine-goal thriller against Crystal Palace was undoubtedly the highlight of Saturday's games, giving Bob Bradley his first win as Swans boss.

Everyone's talking about... Swansea 5-4 Crystal Palace

Good coach but far too passionate that gets him into trouble a lot....He hates losing and that's not a bad thing but he has a habit of saying things out loud instead of keeping his thoughts to himself like most managers do... I like the guy that says it as it is according to him.....He always gets the top jobs so he must be doing something right.....Besides that he makes me Laugh....

It seems to me with 6 goals under his belt already the last thing Fer should be doing is defending , unless at set pieces .
A lot of people yammer on about " Fer's " defending while tripping over everything else he does for the team . He's a poacher with good insight at where to be , the Llorente , Siggy , Fer attack is a must from here with Routs , Barrow and Montero fighting it out for a single wing position .
And at this point I don't care who plays or doesn't play at CB , as long as it's not Amat and Fernandez together .

Roof if he was a striker I would agree with you. He has a duty to defend and yes he got a couple of goals, but it was his error that started their come back as a midfield player he has to do both.

What I'm saying is take the defending shackles off him , he has 6 goals with the shackles in place . If it was Ayew scoring 6 goals in the first 13 games he would have got the key to the city .
Fer's goals are directly responsible for 7 of our point6s .
Aerial battles are a huge attribute to the team , when he is around the opposing goal nobody can push him around .
Fer has a very , very good passing % . Try to concentrate on the positives he brings to the team instead of the single negative .
Cork got an own goal and there is not a peep about it , Fer scores 2 goals in a one goal victory and the knifes are " semi " out

Exactly and as a result, the midfield gets over run because he's not where he should be.
