Can't really make my mind up if Van Der Hoorn was really injured or not, ...... wondering if He was being careful, thinking he was likely to be moving on in the transfer window ? ....... Yan Dhanda was very bright in the first half, and scored a good goal, but thought he faded as the game went on. Can't see that he deserved Star man rating of 8. .......... The game should have been won by half time, Hanging on at the end.
We just looked so tired and lethargic in the 2nd half. I can't say I am too hopeful for the QPR game but then they might play a weakened team - he says hopefully!
The annoyance for me was watching Routledge ,( who imo didn't have the best of games ,) tiring ,which affected our outlet on the left , he committed short or miss placed passing along with conceding freekicks ( he wasn't the only one admittedly) but imo he should have been replaced . and the other bug bear , on a wet slippery surface certainly in the first half and we tried to pick the perfect pass., instead of having a go
I was unavailable to join in the fun last night, although judging by the second half comments on here it's just as well! Amazing we're still in 6th. A win's a win though
The other point is Ayew. He is great holding the ball up but when he goes on a run he seems obsessed with beating every defender in front of him instead of passing and moving into space. I am sure he would have got more goals than he has if he did this. Mind you at least he has scored some!
A few were guilty of that Cabango being one ,great to see a lumbering centre half surging forward but he did it twice running into a blind alley ,not yet Ben get some experience and an awareness what you intend to do when you get there
