Good result for you boys tonight. Won't say back on track but a step in the right direction after a poor run. Back that up on Saturday and you're right back in the mix.
Piss poor 1st half with no presence in midfield against a good pressing side kept us on the back foot with limited chances of creating anything except for one shot over the bar. changes were needed and Fulton made his entry into the game a positive one and with Fer we slowly grew into the game .We became more direct and with Celina Grimes and Dan James ( who terrorised their right back ) the chances came and we took them to give us a deserved win based on the second half .I appreciate its horses for courses when selecting your starting 11 against a particular opponent but the side that started the second half tonight must start the game v Reading who won't be as physical as B/Burn were tonight .too many players in the first half tonight didn' t win their individual battles especially in the first half so hats off to Potter in making the desired subs which changed the game .
A feast of football that wasn't. I can't remember such a poor atmosphere at the Liberty as in the first half. With no shots on target and Blackburn taking the lead it was promising to be another poor night for the Swans. A couple of changes at half time and things improved but there was still no sign of a goal. Baker-Richardson was on the touchline ready to come on when Jay Fulton sent a shot in off the post and off the back of the keeper to bring the Swans level. We showed a bit of flair with Dan James our outstanding player and finished Blackburn off with two great goals, the final one a sublime chip from Celina which was worthy of the entrance fee alone. A scrappy, poor game that we did well to win after going 1-0 down and a hugely important three points in the bank. Its frightening to think that both teams are only several points away from the top of the Championship. Now lets hope Potter builds a settled team.
Boy did we need this win, we have to follow it up against a poor Reading on the weekend.......................
Three goals from two shots on target. Nice to get a win, but still not enough goal threat is there ? We must win on the weekend to be realistic about pushing for the playoffs. Back to back wins is good for confidence. We need to find consistency everywhere.
Stats..... Swansea City 3 - 1 Blackburn Rovers #FotMob https://www.fotmob.com/livescores/2791486?status=finished
Potts ripped through the players at HT for the first time this season and it did the trick......I hope he shows more anger in more games if we are not playing up to standard .....Blackburn are a big club and will be pushing for promotion but the second half they could not cope with our increased pressure after being bolloxed by Potts.......Another 3 points against Reading would be great and will give us a great points total at this stage of the season......Roll on January with some striker additions that we need.......
The club are saying on the website that Bony and monty are close to a return!!....................................
But did the Yanks finish the sentence.....? Possibly what they didn’t write was “ Bony is close to a return to Stoke on loan and Monty is close to a return to his boyhood club in Ecuador, Emelec .....”
Bony can go as far as i'm concerned as i'm pissed off with his excuses he is not ready. as he is seen running around with schoolboys ......Potter must make him play as he is costing the club money and that is a waste.....The excuses now are a joke and everywhere he goes he plays the same stunt. Liverpool dodged a bullet there when they gave him a trial all them years ago.......Play the fcuker.....
Playing with kids on the football field tells you a lot.....His record is appalling at every club he has been at...
You made a statement that Bony said he wasn't ready to play , its not a game I'd just like to see for myself when he said it .
