Dai any realist will say that Arsenal are favourites tomorrow and its a great result to even get a draw. That's not saying that I think we're a weaker team than the first season because I didn't expect anything in the first season. My opinion is we're better equipped to win this game this season and I just hope the loss at Birmingham doesn't disrupt our form! And if was to guess the score then I'd say 2_1 to us
I think we are far stronger than last season and the season before and we did quite well against the big sides so i cant understand why there are so many fans just two less in the poll that think we wont win....We should be winning our home games against these sides now. or more so we should be more confident than what the poll shows on here that we have progressed into at least confident of winning such high profile games..
The poll flies in the face of what the bookies say - so it shows that Swans fans are being optimistic. (A few Arsenal/neutral fans may also have voted)
you can see who voted and it shows that confidence is not as high that nearly 50% of fans think we have progressed to a level that we can beat big teams at home....Im not saying this the poll is saying this...
Good polls always try and get a mean standard in order to account for the lunatic votes ..............
I think it's a tough call. It could go either way really. I voted Arsenal because like Swansea they also look stronger than last year. And even though Swansea beat them last year that doen's mean that a Swansea win is an auto call. Neither does it mean that it's a sign of lack of confidence believing that Arsenal could come up on top. How the players approach the game has most likely nothing to do with how we vote on a the not606 board (unless we're somehow mentally connected in some kind of matrix). I'd hope that they'd go in to win the game, heck I'd even expect it.
nothing is automatic and a foregone conclusion in football but that doesn't mean that you don't have the confidence in your team 3 seasons in that you should win at home....It seems that not all jacks 50% don't have confidence that we have a manager or players capable of beating a top team at Home...
Im hoping that after the loss to Brum the A team will be chomping at the bit to get back on track with a fully switched on display against one of the better prem teams in Arsenal, i think there could be plenty of goals in this one with a close win of 3-2 to the swans with our home advantage/crowd playing a part. Until we beat a strong Man u team twice in a season i think we will remain a good mid table team and the longer we stay up the more money we`ll have to get there.
I was surprised he wasn't , he looked doubtful half way through the first half then to see him come back on after the break was disconcerting ,it wasn't as if we were under any pressure .
Dai, Arsenal has a good run so far and I seriously believe they are a contender for the trophy this season. They are nothing like they were last season. Having confidence is fine, but you also have to be realistic. Swansea is a 6-9 place team which does mean progress. But again when you predict you have to be neutral. Or else predictions would just be 100% on Swansea win each game.
From a neutral perspective this is one of those games that the football purists are looking forward to (certainly me) ... has all the makings of a terrific game ... and, lest you forget your meteoric rise, we are hosting Barnsley today ... just imagine going to watch that instead ...
