It's interesting that there was ranting about when we changed Paul Clement, and that Palace, West Brom etc all made the decisions early on to change. Look how that panned out...... Both in bottom 3 alongside Stoke who also changed manager - and also to managers from the merry-go-round.
Just got back in. Great effort and what was pleasing was that today, we took our chances when on top. Too often we have dominated but failed to score. Today we went in 2-0 at HT, yet it could easily have been 3 or 4. There were several notable performances - Van der Hoorn, Ki & Andre Ayew. Any of those could have been my MoM. Andre clearly wanted to put one over his former team - and he certainly delivered, being involved / assisting 3 of our 4 goals. Fabianski did well, Naughton & Clucas are different players under Carlos. Olsson and Mawson did their jobs, while Jordan Ayew looks like he can score in every game. Andy King is an upgrade on Tom Carroll, and I thought that he complemented Ki & Clucas in midfield. Boxing Day last season - Bradley's final match as Manager - saw us lose 1-4 to West Ham. David Sullivan was strutting around that day: today his business partner, David Gold sneaked out some 5 -10 minutes before the final whistle with his tail between his legs. Our fate is now very much in our own hands - we need to continue the good work and pick up at least a point next Saturday at Huddersfield.
From the BBC Swansea have scored 20 of their 21 Premier League penalties. Of teams to have taken at least five, that is the best success rate in the competition's history (95%).
I felt the same! West Ham were dreadful and produced one of the worst PL performances I have seen in the 7 years the Swans have been in the Prem. I thought we could have wiped the floor with them in the last 20 mins to inflict massive psychological damage on them. Having said that, I would have settled for a draw before the game!!
Yep - that was the day Luke Moore scored and Sian Massey flagged correctly to disallow them an equaliser for offside!
That said, in all fairness, I thought that Martin Atkinson was the best referee we've had at the Liberty this season. Yes - he could have clamped down on them a couple of times earlier in the game, but overall I thought he did well.
Yep Hart talked him down ,1st season in the PL then Moore rose like a salmon at the other end to win it
I agree , we’re quick enough and at times rightly so the standard of officials but today he was good , let the game flow but strong enough to put his stamp on it when needed to for both sides
Good game today But what it shows that as quick as we climb up to 13th we can fall back just as quick the next game....We really need a cushion to give us a better chance because we will lose games that's a cert.....Everyone can beat each other on the day and nobody is safe in the bottom half....
