Do you always need things spelled out for you? the only reason Dan James is still with us, is due to Jinx parting shot at the Yanks, they are prepared to even sell our future, so get real...............<ok>

Can we sell Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Wilfried Bony and Borja Baston and leave the current team intact? I don't know what their contract situations are though...

Trouble is their wages are huge, so clubs will be loath to part with any cash and often they even ask the selling club to part-pay the rest of the contracts, so we may sell Borja to someone in Spain for £1-2m but still have to pay like 50% of his wages. :(

TBH - none of those names have exactly improved their value anyway, Borja's prob done best, but 5 goals in 25 app is not exactly setting La Liga on fire!

Clubs will have seen what James, McBurnie and Celina are capable of and they will all attract suitors in the Summer.

There is clearly a cash hole to fill - the Accounts state that the forecasts shown to the Auditors assume that the gap is covered by player sales.

As any remaining shortfall would have to be made good by shareholder equity injection(s) or loans (shareholder or third party), you can bet your bottom dollar that they will go the extra mile in ensuring that sufficient player sales revenue is secured.

... and we still owe money for others ....

Debtors and creditors (relating to player transfers) at July last last year indicated that we could be owed as much as £29m, but could owe to other teams as much as £43m.

Dai...if you're any kind of businessman you would read the accounts and weep....not just the clear statement made by the auditors but the implications within the accounts. Income will drop again next year....altho' these accounts cover your last year on the Premiership and have the higher income. You are correct about the high wages but that is a consequence of deciding to take on the big boys and also efforts to try and stay. Indeed, some are the result of out of contract signings, where higher wages are the norm since there are no transfer fees. Although it is a lower effect, presumably lower attendances are coming into play too.

I am a brilliant Businessman i am proud to say.....I would have sacked Jenkins and pearlman much earlier and even Pearlman is still here he would not be here with me owning the club i can tell you....They totally fcuked the club up on and off the pitch......If i owned the club i would not have stayed and would have walked away and let the club sink into oblivion.......Fair play the owners chose not to do that and instead took charge of the club and they had a hell of a mess to clean up and they have done a Brilliant and necessary job, They saved the club where i would have let it sink........They appointed potter who had a good job in Sweden and got rid of most of the high earners but did not have any choice in paying half of the wages to those out on loan......Just in one season the owners have turned things around on and off the pitch together with Potter......The club is so lucky to have such remarkable Businessmen who never walked away and decided to do something about the situation......I would have took what i'm owed and walked away not giving the club a second thought.....Business is Business..

Rather than have the fire sale last Summer, I’d have given it until the January transfer window.

If, as I’d suspect, we’d have been near the top of the table, I’d have persevered. If not, then an even greater sale to balance the books.

I’d try and do the same this Summer - we know we are only a few players short of being a decent team - sign them and go for it. If it doesn’t work, then a fire sale next January.

The reality is that fire sale Mark II is about to happen.....
