    Just home -
Shockingly poor attendance ... no doubt a sell out next Monday!
Let's face it, tonight the Swans did just enough because that's all they need to do against what I can only describe as a Wolves team paying village football. If that's what's winning the Championship they shouldn't expect to spend long in the EPL. The only time we got out of neutral / 1st gear was after they equalised. Some frantic defending for a few minutes but I'd put that down to our midfield changes and the back line the loss of concentration out of boredom.
We kept the ball well when Mesa was on but Carroll looked shocked overtime someone played a first time pass to him.

Nordfelt - uncharacteristic distribution problems but had little to do. Should have claimed the through ball on their goal.
    Naughton - decent game
    Fed - decent game
Mawson - tried being billy ballocks a few times and came unstuck a few times, otherwise fine
Caroll - left back? or was he? Otherwise another shocker.
    Mesa - good game
Fer - the game go so casual he made a few mistakes but OK
Roberts - completely out of his depth, slow to react, slow to think, ducked out of a good few balls he should have got, players stopped passing to him for long periods ... felt sorry for the young man TBH.
Ayew- gave everything tbf MOM by mile. A good goal.
    Narsignh - struggled
Bony - not fit surely! Really struggled for pace, strength and in the air. Took his goal well.

    Strange subs
Dyer - busy and beat his man a couple of times. His experience showed.
Ki - did little but looked to add to attack until ..
Clucas came on and we sat back ... Clucas, what is it he does?

I though Roberts had a very good 1st half ,linking up well and creating problems for their defence , he always looked to want the ball which will soon be drilled out of him by his team mates if he stays in the squad <laugh>

Wouldn't you want it to sell out next week ? I thought we struggled in the second half , conditions and up against a decent side who grew confidence grew as ours receded the longer the game went on ,, carrying players doesn't help Fer ok 1st half lazy second , Carroll what does he bring to the team , timid and fearful and not good enough .

Agree with virtually all that Bob, except for your comments about Connor. Thought you are a bit harsh on him.<cheers>

Nordvelt, not much to do, took the ball out of the net..

Carroll is shocking, offers absolutely naff all. The biscuit, was a woeful cross he put into the box in the second. Fernandez is awful, like a ‘schoolboy’ for their goal. I thought Mawson did particularly well 1st half. Roberts looked a bit like the level was too much for him 1st half, but was much better, I thought 2nd. His confidence was growing it seemed to me..
Wilf was terrible, but was there to prod home, thankfully. I think Naughton kept forgetting he was in a back 3, much like he normally forgets to be a full-back, as he wandered forward so much. But in all fairness, he was okay. Narsinghe, weak lazy bastard, certainly wasn’t up for it. Fer & Mesa were okay.

Finally, Jordan Ayew, what a contribution, was all that was good about us. Amazing goal, worked relentlessly & the only Swans player with any creativity. Excellent mate..

Dyer played his part too. Ki not on long, but should’ve scored, or at least hit the target & Clucas, OMG..

Forgot to mention about the attendance, it was shocking. I know there are a lot of factors playing at the moment. But I’ll say it again, it was shocking. At the end of the day the team needs our support. Well that’s my take on it..

For the size of our city & potential catchment area, I’ve never thought our support is that strong anyway. A few years back the Liberty was assumed to be ‘holding us back’. Was it really?? We struggled to get passed the 20k mark mutch back in the Tosh days. I took my seat tonight & thought, is this the shape of things to come, if we spiral down..

Well I’ve heard that off a few Ospreys fans. You have my sympathy. It wasn’t nice. I sat there thinking, we’re still a ‘small town club’ it seems..

Premier league, you’re having a laugh..

I go to virtually every Ospreys home game as well as the Swans. Normally, chalk and cheese between the size if the 2 crowds......

    1,800 away fans
    6,000 home tickets sold
Fewer than 1,000 Premier Club etc

They won't get 1,800 away fans in most Championship games.....

But look at every other pl team playing in the fa cup and everyone of them had much reduced crowd. As a non season ticket holder I would have normally taken the opportunity to watch the Swans last night, but not until the scum of a board has ****ed off, I suspect that most fans feel that way. Lucky to have as many as they did at the game.

Hi TLF. I would agree that all/most PL clubs had much smaller crowds but I know the Stadium Management was surprised and disappointed by the small number in attendance.

They need to look at the way the club is being run, I am just surprised they were surprised at the low crowd. Most fans would have called that.

To some it's always the fans fault , they were lucky to get the crowd they did , I nearly walked out when they started piping Hymns and Aries through the PA system , embarrassing

Why not a decent journey and a chance of beating a PL side , I'm normally indifferent to other sides but they don't have big themselves up

Agreed - they did it during the Spurs match as well.

Whose bloody idea is it? Imported by Pearlman?

I don't know but it's bloody cringe worthy , again another example of the Club using the fans (this time our voices) , spend a bit of money and improve the team and maybe just maybe we'd have something to sing about .
