Just got back in. A game of 2 halves - we were better first half, they were better second half. The difference we felt was that Mowbray instructed his team to attack down our right side in the second half - and it caused us problems …. Latibeaudiere did not look fully fit Piroe - terrible, probably the worst I’ve seen him play Darling - ok, but sometimes cumbersome on the ball, nearly dispossessed a couple of times Wood - not as good as in recent games Manning - another decent performance Grimes was good Fulton - MotM. We felt he was our stand out player. Oli Cooper - very tidy again. Why was he substituted before Piroe? 4 wins on the bounce PL next season? Our defence against Haaland ….. oh, bloody hell
Another win and yet we had (only) 50% possession …. Is it a case that Russell finally realised that his tactics were not working? There’s hardly any endless passing about at the back, fewer suicidal passes, far more pace and intensity in getting the ball forward, meaning more chances and more goals. As a result, the points are accumulating and we have gone from the relegation zone to the Play-Off places in the space of 4 games
