My god we are so apathetic with our game plan, you'd swear we had it in the bag 10 minutes ago!.........
Relieved to get the 3 points. 76% possession but it wasn't a very comfortable second half. Too many silly or sloppy pssses to put us in trouble when there was no need to make the pass. Still it's 3 points and our third win in the last 15 games. Away to Blackburn on the weekend and a tough game where we will have to play better and have more control to get anything from that one.
Just got back in. Thoughts on the game? We made hard work of it … Several people around us were of the same opinion and all said the same thing…. Bottom of the league, 10 men and we won via an own goal. Blackpool can consider themselves very unlucky not to get a point. Seeing Martin celebrating with fist pumps to the East Stand shows how low his expectations are…. Fisher did ok, as did Grimes - Sorinola’s best game for us in my opinion.
Well I didn't see the game but it sounds like we've got a distinct pattern going now... we can only win the odd game by good fortune. I think we've got just enough to stay up but next season is going to be very tough and a definite relegation scrap. Unless something fundamental changes and I don't just mean the manager. Which it won't btw.
Got to be honest and I can only judge as I only saw the second half. Cant sugar coat it, we were pathetic, we look like a side in free fall. We have a good squad, better than what is showing on the pitch, I believe that there is no way back for Martin despite this win. Where does he go, how can we improve, we can’t under him. down to ten men and bottom of the league yet they were the ones creating the chances. We need someone on who can get our defenders actually defending, for me back to a flat back 4 and 5 in front. We won’t go down luckily we have got enough points early in the season. time for a new manager to work with the players and realise who he wants to keep and who he wants to boot.
