It was obvious that we needed to change the formation and IMO The diamond formation suits Ayew more than playing with wide wingers. I'm not saying this is you but a lot of fans expect Ayew to be like Montero but he's not that kind of player and I think he's better when we play a narrower formation.
Routs did nothing wrong and played his part and was the obvious choice to be subbed to change our formation. It was all part of the plan worked out in training and the players knew what to do automatically as soon as the sub took place.....Routs was taken off not for playing bad but for tactical reasons....
Well done on the win, I was wondering though is Gomis' celebration ironic in that he knows he looks like a fool and is in on the joke or does he think he actually looks good? Because he looks like an utter tw@ every time he does it.
