What a difference wingers make to our game, Narsingh starting has been the difference with good effect in the final third, not to mention Leon.........
Let's hope Clement learns from this game, bringing width back to our game pays dividends, need to get Dyer up to his best too, we should then have more bite up front...........
Absolutely! Narsingh I rate, cannot understand how we have under played him, he needs to start every game to gain confidence and form......
Leon is past it...Fer and Ki are better options as was cork but fair play to Leon he try's his best but his legs are going now....Top man
This is a team we should be beating all day long so i want to see how we do against the better sides.....One win against a side who have not won the last 5 games is no indication we are better at all....
A most welcome three points - our first home points of the season. I expected a tough encounter but I thought Huddersfield were terrible. At 2-0 there was an opportunity for us to go on and inflict a heavy defeat on them. One that would damage their confidence. Caution took over, we defended and allowed them an opportunity to get back in the game. They were too poor to take it. A step in the right direction but still plenty of room for improvement. Where was Mesa?
Happy dayz, home win at last It was inevitable though because the Swans 'lucky charm' went to the match today, my 87yo Mum whose first time watching the Swans was pre WW2, realy. She's a book waiting to be written and is brimming with anecdotes and sayings that guarantee you lose every debate, discussion or argument you have with her. Mainly because you have to stop to decipher the meaning of what she just said. I asked her what she thought about the team we've got this year... "There are many players who think they are premier league quality but the proof is if they can play in a premier league team. We look too scared to play so far but this will change. Ayew will make the difference this year." she continued, as she always does till the Sherry comes down off the top shelf "....Clement might be a good Man but its going to be hard for him to make a feast out of the fodder he's got to cook with but I like him and I think we'll have enough to do well. We could end up being exciting" sip "or rubbish, it all depends on how good a cook Clement turns out to be" So there you have it, breath a sigh of relief chaps, everything is going to be alright, I think, coz my Mum said so As for me, I was happy with the win and I thought the team played a lot better without Sanchez clogging up the midfield so Carroll had a lot more freedom to play. Nasingh looked good in in a central/wide midfielder and I had concerns about Fer who is slow and sometines is a little too tenacious in the tacke as he tries to make up for it, but he was OK. Leon was fine and good to see Ki, who looked good, and Dyer back on the ppitch and playing. I was a little concerned though, not only about Bony's jacket but also about the amount of posession Huddersfield had in the second half. A better team would have torn us a new one but we got away with it today. Did we deserve the win? just about but theres still room for a lot of improvement. Schoolcard 7/10, but can do better
Past it or not he was excellent today and put Fer to shame with his work rate. Ki showed promise on his return. Let’s see if he can maintain some consistency.
We need better than Leon now but i can't fault his effort but he should be on the bench now as cover. Fer or Ki should be playing regular now and not Leon in an important position....Leon has done his bit....
