    Agree Dragon - best move of the game and Pozuelo finished beautifully! And was great to hear a couple of bars of Daddy Cool on two occasions tonight, think it will become a Jack favourite this season!

    Agree mate, but think he has gained confidence from last season and will be an important player for us in coming games - nice thing is that there is competition in all positions (striker aside - Donnelly may get a chance but we need to sign another striker!) Dyer seemed to be back to his old self and looking forward to Hernandez coming back once he has got over his groin injury - think we will see the best of him this season! :)

    Good game from your boys this evening. Can see you doing well in this competition. Glad to see Shelvey is doing well for you.

    Him and Bony are going to have big seasons. (For my fantasy team.)

    Well played Swans. Only watched a small amount of the match when you were already 3-0 up but to be fair it looked like you were playing brilliantly.

    This team looks the business that can do very well this season, we are bound to have some losses but i think we will smash our points total for the season and who knows where that will take us.....maybe 6th or 7th..

    I think a special mention for Leon Britton as he's been through it all with the Swans, top man in my book.

    top man indeed that will play his part with monk this season but i think this will be the last season especially for leon as a regular....Monk doing his badges with the intention of coaching here or elsewhere and leon will either drop down a league or two or hang up his boots, he may even play for port talbot where he lives with his wife and kid...

    Dai what are you on about! Leon does not live in Port talbot, he lives a few miles up the road from me, in Three Crosses and I'll take you to his new house if you like, he's always lived in Three crosses, other than sharing with Roberto in the early days, matter of fact his new house is just around the corner from his old in Three crosses!.................... <ok>

    You should know Dai is all-seeing - he was talking about the future again - when Leon is retired - in Dai's vision he has moved fromThree Crosses(1 from dyer 2 from routs) to Port Talbot a month before.:emoticon-0114-dull:

    The performance yesterday was wonderful. No complaints.
    However - there were 16 and half thousand there. Ground looked mostly full apart from the away end.
    What worries me is that when we are up to 32500 capacity in a few years, that attendance would have meant a half empty stadium. Just saying like.

    Wasn't it lovely to think of the players NOT in the starting 11? We put out a great team and pretty much have another to spare! Strength in depth for the first time I can remember to be honest.

    The boys were brilliant and the score could (and probably should) have been higher. I thought we were a little slow at parts in the 1st half but the 2nd was pretty much perfect. Bony was tremendous as was Shelvey (apart from a few silly errors early on) who chased every ball and played some fantastic long passes. Amat was very good but nearly conceded a penalty, in fairness for a 1st Game he looked very comfortable with Ash as a partnership.

    The performances of the 'old' players stood out for me though. Britton, davies and Michu look to have upped their games. When new players come they want to impress their team mates and fans, but I think the old guard also go out to impress the new guys and to re-emphasise their relationship with the fans.
    In short the team looked well gelled and settled despite the personnel additions recently.

    yours,
    One happy Jack!

    If we had a league game on Sunday morning and wished to play an alternative team we'd line up;

    ---------------------- Tremmel ----------------------------
    ------------- Chico ------------ Monk ---------------------
    Jazz --------------------------------------------- Taylor---
    --------------------------- Canas --------------------------
    ------------------- Ki --------------------------------------
    ---------------------- De Guzman -------------------------
    Pozuelo -------------------------------------------- Lamah
    ------------------------ Donnelly --------------------------

    I'd fancy us to get something against most teams in the Prem!

    Obvious weakness at RB, CB, WG and ST.

    With an alternative striker coming in before the end of the window it's clear we are one summer transfer window away from being near faultless for a club on our budget.
    Providing we keep what we have I see the scouts this year looking at those positions and it panning out like this;

    RB - Jazz will come good this year or we will replace next summer
    CB - Monk will hang up his boots and we will replace next summer
    WG - Can't see Lamah earning a move so we will probably spend big here either in Jan or next summer
    ST - probably get a young blood in on loan and spend some money next summer.
