Ayew and Montero are the best combo In the Premier imo. When the opposition has to concentrate on them it opens up the long ball to Gomis. If Gomis gets six of those he may even score one .The central midfielders is a different story.if we had our old " Possession " football , guys like Sig would be the old Sig .When we don't have our possession game , as someone said a while back, Sig is running around l"Like a chicken with his head cut off", a real waste

In this day and age the long ball is a waste of time except as a last resort and not the sort of football we need at this level. Gomis' first touch is clumsy mostly and slows our attack down. Ayew could be our Aguerro which is why I would like to see another wide player on the right and Ayew behind the target man with the freedom to roam. Although the jury is still out perhaps Eder should be given a go as the bit I've seen of him he seems better at bringing other players in to the game than Gomis does.

Strangely though it was our keeper who had a nightmare and their keeper saved a point for them at the end.

Nothing surprises me when it comes to football managers. I no longer listen to them, muting when I watch Mod.

I'm not sure this was the daftest thing he has come out with.

    His summation of the Bony transfer deal,viz, 25 + 3 = 30 +,takes some beating. <laugh>

These are the type of bull that i cant stand from monk........Monk has great potential and he has done really well for a year but he is starting to show that he is copying other managers when things dont go right of making pathetic excuses when we dont win......

"If they hadn't have scored those free kicks we would have won the game" I would have rather him say "We did not win because we failed to deal with Spurs Free kicks and we must work on this in training.... I hate it when managers don't accept the reality of something and come out with stupid excuses..

Monk has a great opportunity here at Swansea and should be grateful...(im sure he is imo) There are not many young managers starting their careers at the top league if any and he has done very well but he thinks he has made it when in fact he has a hell of a lot still to learn......Please don't become another one of these managers that makes excuses and keep things real......The fans dont want to hear Bul£sh!t....

Yeah, but it's not like he had a few days to consider the questions being asked and make a measured response. I'd like to see some people on here face a press conference after a match. God knows what would come out of your mouth, Dai. <laugh>

You have a point, Aswan. I'm sure we've all said something and it didn't quite come out as intended. That said, it was a cracker.

I think we need a quality striker to push Gomis, Eder is not the answer in my view.............<ok>

Well we cant do nothing about it until January anyway and i cant see us bringing anyone in then tbh......We know that Gomis and Ayew can score goals and we know shelvey and Ki can score a few too so the squad of players we have is very good......Our lack luster Performances recently has to be Monks Fault where he is not motivating the players like he use too. I know for a fact that monk is very strict and maybe he is being too strict and pushing the players too hard, I dont know but you don't become a not so good team all of a sudden but whatever it is monk had better sort it out and fast. With the contracts our strikers are on then there is no way we will buy another in January and rightly so as they are good enough as we have seen at the start of the season....

I can't see it either. But there could be a problem next season when the big money lands. All the "smaller" clubs will have big spending power and maybe we should have been proactive in landing a very good striker before it becomes even more difficult. We finished eighth with a reputation for attractive football but we won't be in as good a position come the summer, IMO, to attract new players.

How much have we wasted on Eder? 5-6million?
