Well if he does start and gives his normally calm assured performance I wonder if your opinion will change and if he has a stinker I'll be the first to say I was wrong

It's a game we COULD win but I don't think it's a game we SHOULD win. IMO. Tottenham are pretty much the form team at the moment having won their last 3 games (along with Man Utd).

We are at home so we should win against a mediocre side like spurs. We beat man utd and drew with the champions chelsea....It looks like your finding excuses already...<laugh>

A don't see Spurs as a mediocre side. Aston Villa, West Brom, Stoke, Norwich, Watford (!!) - yes.

Some rubbish being spouted here from some - no change there.<laugh>

Aswan is dead right. Whoever thinks Spurs are 'mediocre' haven't watched them lately. Yes, any team can beat a slightly weakened Man City side but they demolished them - I watched it. You can't do that if you're a 'mediocre' team. You really think this is a game we 'should' win? Get a grip, people. Spurs are starting to click and we should be worried. A draw would be a decent result, a win excellent.

Tbh the performance is more important than the result. I don't mind losing if we've thrown the kitchen sink at them but if we lose and we are poor then that's when the pressure will be increased on Monk and the squad.

Leon yes , but Rangel no ,especially if Ayew continues to drift into the middle leaving the right side exposed .

interesting comments by Monk and good on him, I wonder if any changes will be made for tomorrows match

"Swansea City Manager Garry Monk says some players' places are "under threat" after four games without a win. The Swans failed to win a match in September and crashed out of the Capital One Cup away at Hull City after an unbeaten first month of the season. Ahead of Sunday's Premier League game against Tottenham at the Liberty Stadium Monk admits he has "difficult decisions" to make. "There are players that are itching to play," he said. "I have a fully fit squad and I will always try and make the best of it when I'm picking a team. "Everyone's positions will be under threat, that's why you have competition in the squad.
"The players know that if you don't perform your shirt is available. You have to fight every single day for that shirt." After beating Manchester United and Newcastle and drawing with Chelsea in August, Swansea have picked up just one point from their last four Premier League games, and scored just one goal. It is a run of results that has seen them drop to 11th in the table. Though coy about which players were in line for inclusion, Monk believes an improvement is essential after the 3-1 defeat against Southampton. "

If you think that we should not beat teams like spurs at home today then we are not as good as last season. <ok> Only both Manchester clubs Arsenal and Chelsea are in a different class to us and we have beaten them in recent times. I don't class spurs, Liverpool or Everton in their class today either and we were above and matched them for a few seasons and are on par with them. We should be beating those sides who are on par at home as an established club or we have dropped down in class in the opinion of those who expect spurs to win and are a better side.........We have not strengthened at all then and are not as good as last season and we have wasted the money on our new players.......We are as good as spurs and should be beating these sort of teams at home....

he is probably a young lad who thinks a 4-1 win v man city with the help of 2 offside goals and a crap keeper is a thrashing
