http://www.football411.com/story/0,22162,14287_9034483,00.html? Couple of seasons ago Taarabt said he loved playing against us.Lost his way a bit with QPR.So hope he has not regained his form - if he plays!
I wouldn't mind him playing against us, with him and Berbatov, it means thats 2 players who won't park their arses in defence, as thats all we seem to get at the moment.
That's so true and another reason I'm very confident this weekend....it's not in Fulham's DNA to park the bus, I don't believe they currently have the personnel to execute such a plan even if they wanted to. We'll actually have someone trying to give us a game which suits us. That's not to say they won't be a threat...we all know that if Berbatov, Ruiz and Taraabt turn up they can beat anyone, also Bent and Rodallega are always dangerous and Parker is a top player in midfield. but as you say the more of their team that are looking to get forward and create the better for us in general. Just need the defence to concentrate properly this week.
Hopefully that will mean Bony will get more space to exploit the Fulham defence, he done it enough against Stoke who played somewhat defensively (i say that lightly lol), so hopefully he has got his shooting boots on, but then that will only work well if our wingers have their crossing boots on. But Huth and Shawcross who are 2 big defenders couldn't really cope with Bony, so what about Fulham's defence.
As someone with a connection with the Fulham fans - I'm going to the game with them - I can tell you that they are not impressed with Taraabt at all and their patience is running out with Berbatov too. Can't wait!
Fulham are looking to turn things around and will be no pushovers. If we put in a high energy display for 90 minutes we should win. Anything less, we will lose and be dragged into a relegation fight. We have a tough fixture schedule ahead and need to establish a buffer against the bottom teams. A draw is the very least we need and even that won't be a good result if other teams around us pick up points. Time to start playing at our best I think.
Have I mentioned I'm going to the game? Still no news on the tickets though. Last I heard we're in the Johnny Haines Stand - with the home fans.
Well I hope we make the most of the on field and off field turmoil that is at Craven cottage this weekend, coming away with nothing would be very disappointing given the way Fulham are playing at the minute, and the disenchantment of their fans too, hope our boys really do come out of the blocks flying!.................
Shameless bump for the thread ready for the game tomorrow. Did i say I was going? 6.30 train for me so early start.
Disagree there stereo. We were all over them but we just couldn't score. They had three chances and scored. Was one of the most bizarre results I'd ever seen.
Vorm - Rangel, Davies, Chico Williams - Canas, JDG, Pozuelo - Lamah, Dyer - Bony Bench: Tremmell, Amat, Tiendalli, Taylor, Britton, Shelvey, Alvaro Pozuelo and Lamah get to continue their partnership. No sign of Routledge. Canas gets the nod over Britton. Britton to feature against Valenica and City I think. Defender heavy on the bench
