How dare you post about Cardiff on a Swansea match thread!!!.......<laugh>

Some good points though - our home record is pretty good considering the top teams we've taken points from. <ok>

We were better in our first season, It gets harder after that starting in the second half of the first season. Blackpool were far better than the both of us but struggled in the second half and were relegated on the last day. Hull are doing the same so you cant take anything for granted until you reach the magic points total which is around the 40 pt mark...

I agree about Hull Dai - I honestly think they'll go down along with Palace and one other from the current bottom 8 (not us though).

Nothing being taken for granted at the CCS I can assure you - just glad to be getting some points on the board at the moment.

Thing is these "freak" results against the big clubs, are the ones that help reach that magic total, as they are usually written off as soon as the fixtures are out, so with the Man City, Utd and Everton games, thats 5 points more than I bet most had you down for against those teams.

I would have said us too, but with it being the derby, and the fact it is us, no doubt many of you guys had it down as a 3 pointer anyway haha.

I thought we could get a point against Everton, and strangely enough Man U yesterday (don't really know why though).

I thought the Man City game would be a drubbing for us to be honest - funny how things work out though - a 5 point haul is massive from those. Of course the other 3 points were welcomed as well.

Agree - and one other thing to throw in there ... I've noticed over the years that playing Man United on the last day of a season is not necessarily the worst fixture for a club fighting against the drop - in seasons where they have already won the league they have tended to field a much changed side for the final game - possibly with the Cup final in mind ... remember the West Ham Carlos Teves 'miracle escape' that arguably had as much to do with United's line up and 'commitment' as the brilliance of Tevez on the day ...
