To be honest Phil, I missed Vetch's and Dai's contributions.

It is good to have discussions, debates and contrary views.

It would be a duller Board without differing views.

It is good that Vetch is back - perhaps Dai will have change of heart and start posting again.

Also Stumpy seems to have gone missing?

Ah,I'm deeply touched by this outpouring of raw emotion. Keep it up lads. <laugh>

    No holiday,dragon.
I was banned for a week, for returning an insult whence it came.
However, the original source of the insult didn't suffer the same fate,at least to my knowledge.
    Bent mods,eh,who needs them?

If I am "back",it's only half hearted, but boy, am I loving the drama.

The rise and fall of Garry Monk,eh,who would have thought it possible?

Anyone remember these halcyon days hereabouts?

    "Monk to Real Madrid"<laugh>
    "Monk to Barcelona"<laugh>
    "Monk to Bayern Munich"<laugh>
"Monk the best Manager in the Premier League"<laugh><laugh>
"Monk lined up as next England boss"<laugh><laugh>
"Liverpool want Monk to replace Rodgers"<laugh><laugh><laugh>
"Knighthood for Monk,he will be the new Sir Alex". <laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>
    Etc.,etc.,etc.
The nonsense went on,and on,and on.

Not to forget the level of abuse aimed at Laudrup in the wake of Monk replacing him.
Anyone seen as not buying into the Monk hysteria was singled out, abused, insulted, and vilified.
We have lost some terrific posters as a result of that behaviour, and certain people should hang their heads in shame.

So, now it's Monk out the back door time.

I haven't stopped laughing for days, especially when I view the collapse of the monkeynuts who are now sitting in the front row, baying for Monk's blood.
The smugness and crap behaviour of the mob, often left me ashamed to be posting here.
It would appear that their turn has come.

But,as that font of knowledge, Beckham, would put it - "That's football".

I shall resist using the old adage, "I told you so", but the writing was on the wall towards the end of last season.
The visit to Southampton was the watershed,I think.
Most of what has come since that game has been dire.

    So,what now?

There are some daunting games coming up,but it will only take a win against Liverpool, for everything in Monk's garden to be smelling of roses again, and that call for him to be "knighted" could be ringing around the hallowed halls of 606 once more. <laugh>

I came out of the ground saturday and it felt like a defeat. More fight shown in the 5 nil loss to Chelsea last season. Disgraceful performance. I don't know what's going on there but the slump has been shocking. It's not just this season either. With all the plaudits last season, the football was quite poor through a lot of games but we were knicking them so no one cared.

If Monk stays he needs to change the sale of play and system. It isn't working. Oh and Sigs and Montero have to start, that's clear.
With regards Fernandez; am I missing something?
I haven't seen anything bad from him to warrant dropping. I presumed he was injured but then he's warming up half time. That's the worst decision for me. Bartley is not premier league quality and shouldn't be making the bench. Where's Amat?

Leon over Cork was another bad one. It's like Monk threw that one in to appease the fans although Cork would have been the man to break up the Bournemouth attacks through the middle. It was so easy for them.
Anyway that's enough but we made Bournemouth look amazing.

They were changes that Monk felt he had to make to appease the growing tide of criticism aimed at him ( we are a small club and people know people ) I can see why Eder Leon played but Bartley no idea ,. a change for change sake , if he was to alter any of the back four then it should have been Williams .
