Well a 3-1 scoreline will do me. Got a feeling we will do well in this cup which may be bad news in the long run. Stereo so sorry to hear your news and safe journey home and very best wishes to you and your wife.

My sincere condolences to you too Stereo. I too am thinking of coming back in 2 years after living here for 15, most of them happy ones. I find the prospect daunting.
Solid game from Ki who is obviously finding his feet and will take time to settle in. Could be the last game for Dobbie as Burnley are interested apparently. Ben Davies had a decent game, fair play. Wouldn't read anything into this result either way, really. Bit disjointed all in all, though Moore did well.
Did I predict 3-1? Aw, shucks, I will take the plaaudits now. A few reputations were damaged tonight but I thought Kyle Bartley played well and Tatey held things together at the back. Couldn't understand why Jazz Richards didn't start - just to give him game time. Would like to see Ben Davies playing bit more of an attacking role - can't say that I have seen him show any real pace yet. Not a great game - Barnsley could have got a 2-2 draw (they hit the bar) and we couldn't have complained. The bottom line is that we played fairly poorly yet won - you can't beat the winning habit
OK - please accept my apologies for saying what I thought. He is a world class player with exceptional speed and tactical awareness. How about that?
Spoke to a number of people on the way out and the unanimous verdict was RUBBISH! I won't labour it but we scored in the 23rd minute and up until then we hadn't put three passes together. We were hesitant, sloppy and played second fiddle to a poor Championship side for too much of the time. There was little excitement, no rhythm or flow from us and the crowd was flat. Apart from the goals, the biggest cheer of the night came in the 82nd minute when Bartley hammered in a sliding tackle that looked as though he meant it (yes, I did check the stadium clock). That was more than could be said for the rest of them. Ki was neat and tidy, feeling his way into the team. Kemy sprayed some decent passes around and showed his strength on the ball a few times. He also misdirected quite a few. It seemed to me that there was no urgency about our play; the sort of performance where the players seemed to give the impression that they were only going to do what was necessary.... if that. And they damned nearly come unstuck. As for de Guzman, I am losing patience with him. The guy shows flashes of his ability but the times he lost possession either through a bad pass or being beaten in the tackle, frustrated the hell out of me. If Ki has anything about him, he will have no problem in taking de Guzman's place. All in all it was a pretty nothing experience and the only satisfying thing about it was the result - an opinion, as I said, that was shared by everyone I spoke to after the match. And I mean everyone. Fortunately, the real stuff starts again on Saturday when I expect a return to our proper form.
I'd just like to say thanks to everyone for their kind messages. It has become apparent that this type of thing affects so many people in life. Cheers all. Stereo
Sadly, there will always be a tradgedy in everyone's family in life, we can't escape that. Best wishes to you both.
Ditto from me as well. As for League Cup games, I've given up going to them because as Ivor stated they are 'nothing experiences' these days. Been disappointed so many times over the past few seasons.
