We look like a team out of ideas at the moment, but how bad does Hernandez have to get to be dropped?...................<doh>

Well just as i predicted 2-0 arsenal, thats two on the trot now from me in the prediction league.....we were never going to win the way we have been playing in the last 5 games, It so plain to see we are lacking fire power. arsenal had 11 shots ON target to our 2 and thats not good enough at especially at home. We have become predictable in our play and teams now find us easy to play against. Arsenal took their time as they knew they had a goal in them and they were worthy winners. Vorm needs to be benched for a while now and play tremmell as for some reason we seem to get results when he plays in goal....We are very lucky that we are safe this season because i cant see us getting many more points during the rest of the season.....It was an enjoyable game to watch for neutrals as the masters of passing (arsenal) showed us how to do it properly...we tried our best but arsenal were always going to win...

When we do this badly we make Lawro look good with his predictions.

Our last couple of games have been strange, but today was the strangest, we seem to have lost our character, and we didn't get out of first gear, and with Michu off the boil, and no striker, think we might struggle now to win our remaining games, and on this I agree with Dai!.................<ok>

Don't think we were that bad.
Their first came after Nathan had been fouled.
Their second when we were chasing the game.

Poor in front of goal and maybe Moore should get game time with Michu ... who has lost his mojo .. in behind.

    Agree about Pablo
    Ki slows everything down
Nathan (trying too hard?) made quite a few errors but he game was at pace and the conditions poor.
    Thought Monk was fine.
    JdG .... really ????
Trmell has to play next game.

We were well beaten by an Arsenal side who showed mure hunger and desire to win the game. After about 70 mins Arsenal had a break and Theo Walcott sprinted 70 yards to keep up with the ball. When we have a break Dyer passes backwards - every time.

Not enough attacking intent from the Swans and with Hernandez having a stinker and Dyer passing backwards we got exactly what we deserved - **** all <ok>

JDG and Ki were good in midfield today. We lost something when Ki went off. He was winning the ball and creating chances around the box - he needs to get involved more because when he does he is effective .... Where we lost out today was that everything that was touched by Pablo broke down and he stayed on the field.

They hit the bar twice in the first half and looked the more threatening throughout the game .We didn't deserve anything today and a better side punished us for it.
We play well for 20 minutes then seem to run out of ideaa & effort .So much for thinking players only think about money because at this rate there won't be any more bonus's being paid out

you cant put the blame on just pablo though some blame has to be directed towards Laudrup and his game plan, Its not as if we have been poor for one game is it...the last 5-6 games we have looked jaded...

Not the blame Dai but the focus of the problem. There are very few players who can look in one direction and pass in another and make it work - Pablo is not one of them. Laudrup doesn't play - so we need to play to our strengths and trying to play the way we clearly can't is not one of them. Today intent and hope was there - but hoping that your team mate is heading where you think you are trying to pussy pass the ball is not a strategy for success - it's dumb and a direct path to failure. Pablo has good skills, can waltz around players and create space, but FFS look before you pass then pass with some conviction so that it gets where it needs to go. Time and time today, the simple move was ignored and the Messi / Cruyff wonder balls tried. Very, very frustrating.

Ki / JDG / Britton were effective for long periods but final passes let us down and typically not by them - I say final because they were always the last pass in the move and they almost always were under hit or hit directly at an Arsenal player.

Arsenal were effective today in the last third of the match because they fundamentally kept it simple, when hitting a pass made it a good one (just basics nothing fancy), and were direct. We tried to be too ****ing clever for our own good around our own box and failed to clear our lines when we should have. I don't get how years of training and coaching from school boy days can be forgotten, simplicity ignored, and crazy stuff done in its place - Rangel's throw-in to Vorm for example - what the heck was he supposed to do with that.

We haven't played amazingly for the last few games, whereas Pablo has been terrible for the last 6 or 7 games. I'm struggling to see why he is in the team at the momen - he's just a liability. Michu is off the boil and ebbing towards his original pricetag. I think Tremmel is the better goalie at the moment and I'd like to see him play the last few games.
Overall we have a better team and manager than we had last season so it's a step in the right direction. That's all we can ask for isn't it ?
Next season will bring new signings and European football. Happy Days.

the thing is sterio if we keep losing games and dropping down the table then there will be a question of are we better than last season.....The league cup is a bonus its the league that counts and the way we have been playing of late is putting a dampener on the season...

Agree , I'd like us to finish the season off on a high , at this rate it'll be on a low.Looking at the remaining fixtures Mr Laudrup has his work cut out but I'm sure he'll (more importantly) / Team will get it right
