Not in the same class !!!!

    Really Dai ???

    May I remind you.

    Last season,
    Liverpool 0 Swans 0
    Swans 1 Liverpool 0

    This season,
    Liverpool 1 Swans 3
    Swans 0 Liverpool 0

I've got that as won 2 drawn 2 and lost 0

Oh and by the way our manager has far more than just a plan A. I'm making the most of it while we've got him because I think he will go on to great things and I expect him to manage a really big club one day. He is a far better manager than Brendan "I won't sign your players" Rodgers.

'We can't all understand football like me'? Are you saying you can't understand football like yourself!? Are you schizophrenic Dai? Would explain a lot! ;)

Wow. Nice bit of provocative trolling there....getting a bit tedious though.

Isn't there a law or something against this type of behaviour? There should be.

Ivor puts up a thread about a prediction for us to finish in 9th place but yet again another thread turns into a Liverpool love in.

But of course if you take it up with Dai then there's 3 or 4 on here who defend it or want you to ignore it so I can't help but wonder if Dai isn't the only Liverpool fan on here.

Jager Brendan took us to the premiership. he got us to 11 place in his first season, He has turned Liverpool fortunes around in half a season, he came from behind to over take us and is now above sir mike.
Sir mike is doing well but don't have the pressure Brendan has got and Brendan is proving he is one hell of a top manager and i admire his determination and skill that has to be up there with the best..I applaud him for proving the doubters wrong especially the bitter jacks and i can see him reaching the very top within two seasons.....

And that has got to do with us how ? Brendan is not our manager now but one of our rivals. You may admire him at that club. But it's irrelevant where they land up, we support Swansea City not them !

    Dear 2hat,

    Several points
    A. We are in the same class, its called the Premier League and just 1 point behind them despite the financial disparity. Liverpool have spent over £40 million on players under Brenda and his biggest sale was Adam for just £4mill. Liverpool currently have 4 points less than they did at this stage under Dalglish. All Brenda's signings of note have played for his previous clubs. Whereas ML has bought from across the spectrum, for bargain prices and is keeping within a profit margin. Despite the financial gulf, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that we could be above them by the time we play them next month.
    B. Brenda has still to mastermind a win against any team in the top half of the table throughout the season, ML has several big scalps and is 2 games from the clubs first major silverwear.
    C. Brenda did not have to reinvent the wheel as Dalglish's team finished the season commanding a 55% possession rate already. Brenda's only success of note is increasing this to 59% so far. All other stats point to Dalglish having the better season. ML has made the Swans a more threatening, effective and defensively stable team while maintaining possession ... and the stats bear it out.
    D. The media are touting ML as manager of the season, not Brenda
    E. You state "you can't complain really", whereas I do not see anyone complaining apart from you. A bit of humility and honesty from you for once and you would change that to "I can't complain really". However, I doubt you would ever admit that due to your allegiances elsewhere. You make bold statements and then continually hide behind 'we' and 'us' when you get pulled up by someone. Please do not include my fellow Jacks name in your vitriol again.
    F. All the above are based on actual FACTS, something you profess to know but provide scant proof of.

If you want to defend Brenda and Liverpool, piss off onto their forum. There you will find many fellow Liverpool fans who beg to differ and would be glad to debate your love for Brenda/Liverpool. I would be saying this if it were a Cardiff or any other teams wum/pest (which you have exposed yourself to be).

PS This is not bullying, this is defending my Swansea forum against a sustained attack from a troll and wum.

Yet ML is rightly (and deserved in my opinion) being tipped to become a future Barca or Real Madrid manager in the near future.
As for not losing many times this season, I cant see them beating many of the sides in the top half this season.
Also Dai, if you look at the goals Liverpool have scored recently, how many goals scored have been created without the 'Brendan style', i.e. long balls being pinged by Gerrard? They play better when they ignore the passing type of game.

Of course we aint in the same class Dilli, we're in the same class as Barcalona. Surely even Dai will acknowledge that if ML had spent the money Rodgers has this season then we would be challenging utd and city for the title this year <cheers>

Excellent post and spot on. However, I do feel that it's somewhat wasted on someone who will not take the points on board and will continue to spout the same crap as he knows better than anyone.

<doh> Dai I've winced at the bullying you've put up with at times on this forum but sometimes you really do bring it on yourself. I suspect you're some kind of masochist and you actually enjoy the abuse. <laugh>

The only way you can accurately compare the two managers is to look at what they've done at Swansea. Rodgers has better resources at Liverpool because they're a bigger club. There is an argument that it's much easier to manage when you have those kind or resources at your disposal. The mark of a really good manager is to firstly look at what he can do with limited funds, and secondly what he does tactically depending on the opposition and when things are not going to plan.

In both those areas Laudrup is streets ahead of Rodgers. Michu is touted as bargain of the season, but Chico, Ki and company have all been fantastic signings without breaking the bank. Tactically, Laudrup shuffles the pack to keep the squad fresh and it's kept other managers guessing as to the way we'll approach each game. We never had that under Rodgers who was so obviously lacking a Plan B.

I had my doubts that any manager was capable of taking us to another level but Laudrup has done so in some style. Little wonder he's a contender for Manager of the season by most pundits.

Sorry Dai but your hero doesn't come close.

It seems Steven Gerrard has got Brenda's number also. Fair play to him on Goals on Sunday today, he put our 3rd goal yesterday as contender for goal of the season but then joked that Brenda will probably try and take the credit for it! Many a true word said......

As said by swim, Liverpool are yet to beat a team in the top half of the table. Fourth for them is way out of contention.
