"The Welsh club is targeting to earn promotion back to the Premier League within three years"....

"The Plan" is in operation all right. I just hope it's not a go-for-it-all-costs type of attack on promotion as we've seen many clubs splurge the cash and not make it. Saying that, operations have been fairly cautious so far, including a great transfer window.

We're on the up!

Seems we have owners who recognise the need to invest in the squad - buying young talented players relatively ‘cheaply’ (Galbraith, Widdel, Inoussa etc) must minimise the financial risk of the investment as one/some/all could be sold at a profit and therefore recover the financial outlay ….

Promotion to the PL would represent a huge financial opportunity for the ownership group <cheers>

I think that taking reasoned risks is one thing, but going **** or bust on promotion should be avoided. As mentioned there have been plenty of clubs who are still in this league and lower who have gambled and failed.

We all want promotion I guess, but building towards that is a measured way of doing that, spending tens of millions is a punt to far, we got lucky beating Reading to go up, I would like to go up by being top two instead of a lottery of play offs.

The last time we won promotion with a squad all of us thought would not be strong enough to compete at the top level...how wrong we were
That season, off the top of my head we only added:

Vorm (because de Vries left)
Caulker (on loan)
Lita
Routledge (what a signing he was)
Gylfi (on loan in the January window methinks)

Have I missed anyone from that first season?

I was told a couple of interesting snippets today by someone who has a direct line of contact with Senior Executives at the Club.

1) Alcaraz has the same agent as Modric.

The ‘hope’ is that he becomes an investor like Modric and Snoop Dog.

2) Snoop Dog is scheduled to attend the Wrexham match on Friday 19th December.

Snoop is bringing 6 people including Dr Dre …. whoever he is <whistle>. (My son tells me he makes Snoop Dog look poor ….)

The Wrexham owners are expected to be present that night as well.

Must admit I had to google who Alcaraz was lol, I can see articles about him being linked to the Swans the other day, I did see it on here somewhere I think.

On Snoop I had to google him as well as really it’s not my kind of music, the same as that Dre bloke. Really I’m more into Guns, AC/DC and Queen than anything, if it doesn’t belong in their genre I’m frankly rubbish at these new fangled people.

Looking forward to the Wrexham games I must admit

but we did add to the squad as my post above outlines
Yes I know we brought players in after promotion but I was referring to our promotion squad who the media thoughtn would succumb to then rigours of the promised land. The additions didnt allow the freefall expected though
