Jazz is on a steep learning curve, the same learning curve that the entire first team were on at the start of the season!! give the kid a break! he needs at least a couple of games to find his feet, he has the tools to do the job he just needs time to adjust, i remember Taylor wasnt perfect in his first few games for us when he came, defence is a hard position because every minor error is highlighted 10 fold, Jazz has the talent to play there he just needs support for the team, manager and fans
so you think jazz is premiership material ????? I dont and think if we keep playing him we will not be strong enough at the back. he is our weakest link and gave away another penalty......He does try his best but his best is not good enough at this time. He may get better but we cannot afford to wait.......put him out on loan is the best bet....
I dont think anything yet, there isnt enough time on the clock to make that judgement !! thats the point isnt it?? to blame him for the penalty is very harsh IMO the manager didnt think it was one and neither did alot of people. Jazz richards is a young kid that needs a bit of encouragement and faith put in him these next few games, writing the kid off as not good enough is a nonsense at this early time, let him try and gain confidence and build from that. He is playing an unfamiliar position in the hardest league in the world and doing ok, Taylor has been exposed the last couple of games but people seem to be blind to that for some reason! I agree he has missed alot of his football education by not playing regular in the CCC but thats not his fault really is it ? a loan to gain experience is fine but its too late for that now, he is in the team and learning the hard way,he needs total support from the fans and nothing else, if after 6 games he is costing us points regular then he is only doing the same thing that tate and monk have been doing for years so he will be in good company
Well said Norway, though wasted on Dai, but the more intellectual of us Jacks, will agree with all that you've said there, back of the class Dai!..................... please log in to view this image ..... please log in to view this image
You dont seems to be reading this properly Dai !! Nobody knows yet its too early to say, everybody including your self accepted that our players needed time to adapt in August/september,well, Jazz needs his own bedding in period these next few games. Making mistakes will be a part of that im afraid to say, the club cant afford to buy prem quality in every position just yet,if Jazz comes through this growing process we have gained another useful squad member that is able to cut it at this level Lets just give the boy a chance eh?
i don't think this lad will make it at the very top, he just does'nt seem to have that something, i know he's young and that, but i just don't think he'll be the answer at full back, maybe further forward. on saturday after we scored(before then nothing happened) a few times he seemed lost in what he was doing and when he got the ball, he did'nt know what to do with it, which resulted in crazy passes to player's being closely marked around the edge of the box, when he had time to clear the danger.
Im not saying he is there yet but we should give him his chance, at the end of the day the club shouldnt be putting a young inexperienced midfielder to play full back in the prem league! the fact that they are tells me the manager thinks the boy can do it, he has faced 2 tricky players in the villa lad abongdlo...(or whatever his weird name is) and hoilett and done ok,sure there are times when he doesnt know what to do with the ball but Angel Rangel is no different as the Man utd game proved! Im suprised that the boy is doing as well as he is considering the massive task he has been given, his mistakes have not been as bad as Vorm against Arsenal,Rangel against Utd Monk against Blackburn/Norwich everybody says how brillient Caulker is but nobody is mentioning the fact that Andy Johnson made a complete mug out of him and skined him on the touch line to be through on goal, guess who cleaned up Caulkers mistake and made the challenge?? Jazz Richards ! Im not saying Jazz is the finished article im not even saying that he has the talent to become a prem standard player all im saying is that we should give the boy a bit of respect and understanding for playing out of position against world class footballers having made only a handfull of senior appearences for SCFC the fact he is keeping his head above water tells me that he may well have something to offer..at full back Time will tell !
My attitude is "he's all we've got, so I'm happy to back him until we have other options, or the option of other options". I think it's whomping that we brought on a player from Bonymaen at the Liberty Stadium in the PL. Not many players these days can say they grew up within spitting distance of the ground they've played at.
And that is something we should not forget scott!! Local boys playing for our team is what its all about, if other kids see what can be done it will inspire them to do the same thing. Which brings us nicely to the question of the Acadamy yet again!
I heard a rumour Huw Jenkins had been overheard saying he'd "got the academy".... Turns out he was talking about Police Academy!
I thought Jazz was a Port Talbot boy, must be wrong, might have got him mixed up with Casey Thomas! Anyway, he deserves a chance in my view, he's won honours at international level too, for wales at U17's, U19's, and U21, so I'm all for giving him a chance........... please log in to view this image
was never a peno but was given, well saved vrom, lad may learn from this, (did he turn his back?) if he did he will learn to stand his ground. i can't remember but when i saw the ref give the peno i thought what a fkwit some of the penos given this season have been woeful
