It must be only me then that thinks that Wolves could well struggle next season along with Fulham.

Playing their sort of football to get out of the Championship deserves a lot of credit, but if they try the same approach against top clubs in the Prem they could well come unstuck just because they will do it better.

Got no idea what Warnock will do when we kick off the season but I bet he'll employ the same "19th Century" football, do it better than this last season and surprise a few.

Don't know what the odds will be on us finishing higher than Wolves (or Fulham for that matter) but I'll find out and have a few bob on it.

I think Wolves will be spending big - they've been linked with Butland for £30m, and Andre Silva at AC Milan (!) and I don't think that'd necessarily be the end of it. With the utmost respect to you and Cardiff, if you finish above them I'll doff my proverbial cap to you.

    Yes, but we've got Madine........<laugh>

Like yourselves, we haven't started recruiting yet, and apart from some very tenuous media speculation everything is still on the table.

If we stay up I'll be more than happy because the latest odds show us as 5/6 favourites to go down which doesn't bother me at all.

I seem to remember we were computed to finish 14th in the Championship last season - that was slightly out eh?

I think I've said elsewhere, I'd sooner be billed as the underdog and surprise people. I'm not sure what approach would best suit Cardiff, but I'd sway more towards get people in for the here and now in order to stay up and then plans for the longer term can come after that. That could mean signing up those out of contract, picking the bones of West Brom and Stoke (Swansea might be more difficult!) and cherry-picking one or two Championship stars.

...Maybe check out this guy at St Etienne… :emoticon-0105-wink:

Most certainly - if RR was in charge of City, we'd be celebrating just being crowned Champions League winners by now!

Now look aber, Phil started this thread but there's not much on here from or about the Swans. Are they looking at the right League board?

I expect Lurker/Bonymaen with appear after he comes out of rehab, and even Dai is yet to make an appearance - can't wait.....<laugh>:emoticon-0105-wink:
