Orlandi? Bags of talent? What? Agustien's got more ability in his little toe than the windsock has in his entire body. Problem is that little toe is usually broken. He's no use to us if he's never fit, so I'd reluctantly move him on. Laudrup must have bumped into Dai as our friend finished picking the litter up outside the stadium after a match and upset him somehow. Probably by never having heard of Lee Trundle.
What's with all the negativity Dai you must be the only swans fan complaining about Laudrup. What u need to keep in mind is that our recent form is a result on a few things: 1. Quality in depth, we had a big cup run unlike we have had in any recent history it's gonna take it out of our squad. 2. We don't have a real quality striker, ok Moore has been doing a good job but is more of a sub striker if u ask me. 3. The past 4 games: WBA should have at least been a draw ARSENAL is a top 4 team that made this a priority must win match. Tottenham top 4 team, that could have gone either way missed a few good chances, and done by a wonder bale goal Norwich, our bogey team but disappointed with a draw the way we played. ML has exceed my expectations this season and if u have bigger expectations then I think u are expecting too much from him, we will always be looking for not much more than PL survival, any manager who goes beyond that has done a good job for us IMO.
Been watching this one with some interest, in the Spanish media, very pleased this agreement has been drawn up, will protect our transfer deal, we need to use the pre-contract agreement more often, as Clubs are starting to really watch our targets with keen interest! Ivor should be happy.................
I'll believe this when the contract is actually signed, we've had players before saying they are coming nothing came of it. When he actually puts pen to paper only then is he a swans player.
If you remember Jager, Borini was on a pre-contract, and it was that pre-contract that stopped us signing him, if any club comes in for him (canas) now and attempts to brake that agreement, then we can have some redress, though I know where your coming from, it all boils down to the integrity of both parties. Looking back a few years, Chelsea and Manchester United were locked in a fierce battle arguing over the enforceability of a pre-contract agreement that United had signed with John Obi Mikel. There has been a substantial volume of case law from FIFA’s Dispute Resolution Chamber in recent years on the enforceability of pre-contract agreements. From considering these cases, it is possible to extract the general principle that FIFA will find that a pre-contract agreement is binding if it contains all the essential terms that one would normally find in a contract of employment, such as • the term of the contract; • remuneration; • additional benefits; • intellectual property / image rights; and • termination rights etc. It seems that if the above terms are not included, then the logical conclusion is that the agreement is not binding. The general attitude of FIFA is that the innocent party may be entitled to payment of compensation if one party breaches the agreement. In summary, it seems likely that the use of pre-contract agreements is here to stay, certainly when it comes to clubs securing the top sports talent in the market. But clubs will continue to face challenges from their rivals for these players, and it is this important factor that will ensure that we have not heard the last of disputes like these. Under the laws of England and Wales, pre-contract agreements are usually marked as ’subject to contract’ or worded similarly. Such an agreement is usually held to be no more than a mere “agreement to agree” something further in the future. As such, the agreement usually has no binding effect under normal established contractual principles, but in the football world, FIFA makes the principle that an agreement is an agreement, when all the conditions that I mentioned above are met, so in a word Jager chill me old dapper!........................
