I thought I'd look up how Suso is doing on loan.

So far he has played three games for Almeria and has 2 assists.

Here is a video of him against Villareal:

He looks quicker and more confident than I have seen him there. Good pass and move play. He plays a few really good clinical forward passes there, including a Beckhamesque assist and a super through ball. He gives the ball a way a bit to easily a few times but he'll get over that as he gets more and more games.

He looks like he is playing CAM to. Looks positive!

Suso assists this to:

Nice through ball.

I'm always optimistic but until I see it in the premier league I'm skeptical.

Mellor, Lindfield, Nemeth, Spanish kid with an "o" name that I am suffering amnesia remembering but we poached him from Barcelona.

They were all going to be the next Derek Asamoah but instead didn't cut the grade. Teens mature at different rates... often one that look good early are just early maturers.

That said... full hopes for Suso but we've had Suso before... Suso's still raw sushi at the moment.

Since this thread is about Suso, I assume you mean Pacheco...? <laugh>

Lol... Pacheco... that's it.

I wouldn't forget Alonso... great F1 driver and also a good long range passer.

this is suso in the top div in spain. if he keeps this going he'll be a star. he needed the rough edges knocked off... i think alberto is a different type of player. Suso is on a long contract so no matter what occurs i think we are quids in.

Too soon with Luis. He was very anonymous against United... but to debut with only a handful of minutes left against United is a tough situation.

I was worried when we first loaned him out, wondering he'd turn into another Pacheco. I was not at all happy to see him off, even wondered why we went for Aberto when he had a better player in Suso. But I think the loan would do him a world of good. Watched his first two games, and was hugely influential in both, and likely to be an important first team player, something we couldn't have guaranteed.

I agree, Aspas was the same I don't think either could believe how fast the game was and how quickly they were closed down, they both look good players to me but will need time to settle in.

I hope Luis Alberto is good, but i've seen him in around 5 games so far and he just looks lost. I'm personally not sure he knows what position he plays. Maybe just teething problems into English football

Great opportunity for Suso and I'm glad he's taking it. Getting games in competitive fixtures in a good league - looks like he's fitted in very well.

Someone mentioned what would happen if Coutinho was injured and needed resting, and I can see Suso being able to step up to the plate.
