I dont see him getting a job in England. Has he applied outside of the UK? It may be his only option.

He's not our concern anymore, except for curiosity value.

I like him and hope he gets a job soon. As for punditry - on the radio I think he's ok. I'd much rather listen to him than Alan Smith (was on last week - dreadful) or Dowie. He needs to stay away from Fighting Talk though.

I had some of the Best, worst and just plain weirdest times as a City fan with him in charge.

PB Should try and get a managerial role in the USA or China, Given the 'Global Footprint' He and Mr Duffen managed to achieve I'm sure he should find work with ease.
Maybe if he puts together a montage on Youtube (Obviously leave out the 'I am Phil Brown, And I am God') phase, Might improve his chances.

That really wasn't confrontational banter, mindless or otherwise.

Maybe you were joking, or maybe you have misread FLG.

    Ok, here we go.

It seems perverse to describe any of Phil Brown's tenure as the worst of times.

I'll take a pink jumper, a 0-5 against Wigan or a 6-1 at Anfield anytime over getting locked out of our own ground, getting average home gates of 3,000, having large parts of our ground closed because of ill-repair, losing 1-0 at Belle Vue with Hately in charge, losing at home to 9 man BHA, losing at home to Hednesford and Kettering, Bradord City at home in 1996, calling in the Receiver in 1982 (the first club in the country to do so) and so on.

Fair enough, each to their own. But at least we won the odd game in those days...from December onwards in the first season in the premier league throughout the whole of the second season it was depressing wondering where a win would come from. The novelty of seeing the tigers playing the top teams can only last so long without results.

We were playing against some of the best players on the planet- no disgrace in losing to Rooney, Drogba, Torres, Bale, Arteta etc

More honour in losing to them than winning against puny Wycombe and Rotherham.

Actually, scrap that. Half the time we were actually losing against puny Wycombe and Rotherham......

Our best performances and results came against those players and sides though. The poor performances and results came against the likes of Blackburn, Wolves, West Ham, Wigan and Sunderland and we were found wanting when it really mattered. When you're fighting for survival and playing poorly against those teams the experience of the premier league will be soured a bit. I've seen city lose to the likes of Macclesfield, Darlington, Lincoln and Mansfield but that was just as enfuriating as some of our premier league defeats.

I still don't understand the hate and bile directed at him, he gave us our best position and games ever. I know he was a little foolish, he made some silly mistakes, but honestly I blame Duffen for giving him ****ty advice. He's not a bad person. He's not a moody, sulky twat. He genuinely loves football and genuinely wanted to be with us.

I find it strange that someone who got us to the PL, and oversaw some bloody memorable victories is despised yet someone clueless and arsey who would have had us struggle if he hadn't been given the boot and replaced with our current manager is talked about like some god. Baffling.

Simple question: which is the more dismal and pressing...City losing against West Ham and Sunderland in the Premiership?

Or City even having to play and lose against the likes of Wycombe and Walsall?
