I step down from assisting the Moderator. This position deserves to be handed over to @CafcFactsStats
I love the bit at the start. Hawtrey: “People know Rick and I have had our differences” 400 Charlton fans in audience: “who are you”?
You would not have dozed off in there. The place was like a fridge. Never been so cold in a building in all my life
Wiseman is not standing down. Only certain people are up again for re election and he’s not one of them, so Paul can stand against him (or anyone else for that matter) next year if he wishes to
Hawtrey was representing the apologists. This was after a poster offered to pay the train fare and accommodation for Ivor to come down. Another excuse was given after somebody called his bluff.
I was there that night. My abiding memory on leaving was marvelling at how Kevin Hawtrey had whipped the audience up into a collective sleep.
Just read that Seriously is saying that Wiseman is standing down and McKinley is taking over as chair. Anyone seen a link from the trust re this?
Ivor spouting this stuff is laughable when he has zero intention of helping the Trust. He has done absolutely nothing since the protests started, except slag off Charlton supporters. One famous line was hoping "they drowned in the Thames".
Christ on a bike, we have some dull fans. Passionless speeches to a room full of corpses. I agree, it's hilarious. Watch it without sound you'd think it was an undertakers convention.
My mistake, he's only standing down as chair. It's in the Annual Report. He wants to "take more of a back seat"
