The Nabster will go this summer, but I'm going to make the most of him. We will not see his like again
Bauer is a decent player - big difference. The BFG doesn't need cult status, he was rated and well liked by all Charlton fans. Sarr isn't utterly useless, but he isn't a good enough player in my opinion to warrant another contract, or to be a CAFC 'Cult' hero.
Sarrs mistakes are always picked up on more than anyone else's, Lockyer Pearce Purrington even Phillips have made errors but they soon get forgotten about, Sarrs tackle that got us a point against WBA and his goal that got us another point against QPR , not disputing he makes mistakes but who in our back four doesn't? As for him being a Duchatelet signing I'd take Bauer back any day and wasn't he one?
I'm inclined to agree. Wouldn't put it past Southall to sign Sarr up again because he thinks it will be a popular move.
Granted Bauer was signed at the same time as Sarr. But Bauer didn't score an own goal at Wembley. And Bauer was a better player than we could hang onto, thanks to years of RD's poor stewardship. Sarr on the other hand fits right in with our makeshift, bottom 6 squad.
On Saturday it was his tackle in the first half that stopped an almost certain goal (with Dils between the sticks nothing is certain but) and he also had an assist for our second goal yet all this is forgotten
Had another look at the goal, the Nabster looked up just before he crossed it and picked out Taylor. If Trent-Alexander did that it would be on telly for a week.
