No we weren't expecting to win indeed most on here were expected us to get thrashed especially once the line up was announced. We played well against Arsenal considering, the problem was playing well wasn't the key getting some points was.
Nothing to add and if it had been in evidence when it was needed against teams around us, we wouldn't now be in the mess we're in!!!!
But you can level similar accusations to any teams that have struggled this season. There will always be some criticism you can make, and surely of the four teams at the bottom, we are far and away the least deserving of criticism?
It's been the "OK, we lost but we've got a chance to put it right next week attitude" Sick of hearing it to be honest. We're almost out of weeks and we're going down. No more weeks to "put things right". How about just trying all the time? Some may say we've tried our best in all the games, to that I say bollocks. There have been at least 7 games where we just haven't turned up.
Indeed so - and that's virtually 20% of the season squandered with boogie all to show for it. What's worse, most of those 'no show' days were against teams we would otherwise expect to get something from Maybe they thought "we're way too good to be worried about Bournemouth, Villa or Watford. Second gear will be ample for this one" One glance at the table now suggests we got a lot of basic stuff horrendously wrong - did nobody learn or remember any lessons from 2 years ago, FFS, when we were in exactly the same position?
