Hereâs how we rated QPRâs players in their 2-0 victory against Middlesbrough. Rob Green: 7 Rarely tested but was equal to the task when routine saves were required, ensuring a club record-equalling seventh consecutive clean sheet. Danny Simpson: 8 Got through a phenomenal amount of work on the right-hand side. Defensively solid and quick to get forward. Had an off-day at Yeovil last weekend but was back on form. Richard Dunne: 7 Comfortable at the back and was helped by Rangers switching to three central midfielders, which matched up to Boro and gave the back four watertight protection. Clint Hill: 7 Put in a typically honest performance before going off late on after taking a knock to his head. Benoit Assou-Ekotto: 7 A major different between the Championship and Premier League is the amount of attacking quality in wide areas. So itâs hard to imagine any second-tier side giving the top-drawer Assou-Ekotto major problems. Coasted through this game and could end up coasting through the whole season. Gary OâNeil: 7 Another player who covered plenty of ground. Did well on the right, popped up in the middle on occasions and was unlucky not to score. Joey Barton: 7 Continues to ease through Championship games relatively unchallenged. Neat and tidy and did a good job shoring up the midfield. Tom Carroll: 6 A nice player and was certainly helped by Rangers sticking an extra man in the centre of midfield. But is he ready for regular Championship football? Has obvious ability and showed it once Rangers were in control. Alejandro Faurlin: 7 Another player aided by a beefed-up midfield. His confidence has maybe been affected by some poor displays lately and he continued to look uncertain and off the pace in the early stages. Stuck at it though and improved before being substituted. The perfect kind of game for him and one he needed. Niko Kranjcar: 9 The term âproper footballerâ is a bit overused. But when a man effortlessly controls high balls with the outside of his boot and sprays a perfect cross-field pass, he is definitely a proper footballer. Kranjcar was simply superb â and thatâs when not fully match fit. Charlie Austin: 7 Not had things all his own way since signing but has persevered and deserves the break heâs had with two penalties in as many matches.
I hadn't looked at this like that but it certainly has a ring of truth about it. To the question of whether we will keep the same team for next week. Well I would & suspect that many supporters would, but I don't expect that Harry will. He does like to change the midfield every week & I feel that he will continue to do so.
