SD is right. She's one of the foremost composers and songwriters in the history of popular music. But she's not a world class singer.

And whatever the **** her being Jewish has to do with anything!...

 

I just ignore the Anti-Semitic stuff from him. Doubt he understands what he says.

 

I do get what @Burly Hurley is saying. Tapestry is such a personal album and for those songs she was incredible

 

She's no world class singer mate.

She's in my list because of what she brings to a live performance.

Springsteen wouldn't be on many lists.

But he was on stage 4 hours in 89 at Wembley and never dropped a beat!

 

Tapestry is a wonderful album. A landmark in popular music.

But the fact remains that she's not a world class vocalist.

 

And who would you call a world class singer baring in mind you're not a United fan?

 

She's not. I just quoted her on the energy of her live perfomances.

Stevie Nicks will always be my number 1 though!

Adele would be my choice of recent times...

 

If you're going to have a female it has to be Kate Bush, she has a ****ing awesome vocal range

I don't find that. She has range, power, presence. Pretty much all you could ask for from a singer.

 

Adele is good in the low range, but can she hold a high note?

 

She's not great in the upper register - If you want that call Mariah Carey. But mid and lower she's phenomenal

 

Both of you can **** off I have loved that woman for 38 years. I made a pilgrimage to Hammersmith to worship her. SHE IS MINE.
