Just goes to show your ignorance. Churchill was the war leader the same as Hitler starlin and the rest. these guys cant go on the front line as they are leaders and you cant fight wars without leaders.....
you just dont have a clue swamp or rubber..... If you were drafted you would have no choice than to obey...if not then a white feather will be given to you and you will face the consequences....end of story....

Waiting for your definition of an illegal war? I wonder what your views are about millions of Jews, Spanish, Chinese , Falklanders, Serbs ,Muslims ,Croats,Irish (yes Irish) and countless other conflicts where we intervened to prevent further blood shed , nice to sit back I suppose with your head full of **** wondering how to get the money for your next spliff. The trouble the majority of posters on here have only experienced life through a game boy or what they see on the internet via you tube .
an invasion of a country for no reason is the main player in an illegal war dude,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,pray tell what a hero u brit soldiers are dude

When did we purposefully save the vast majority of those people of who you speak as a specific war aim?
Northern Ireland and Bosnia immediately spring to mind, the Falklands Islands of course, Sierra Leone, we were fundamental in starting a state for the Jews, ect, ect, ect
what a great row! More passion about this subject than about football. Gendros and Konman have made the most persuasive and pertinent comments. Nil points, however, for Norway and Dai. One question: in the last week, what percentage of people, on average, have you actually seen wearing a poppy? In recent years, from what I've seen, it's only been about 5%. On saturday night, just gone, I was in a very crowded pub (prob about 150 people), people of all ages. Besides myself, there was just one other person wearing one. I ended up feeling a bit of a fraud and fool - as if I was somehow showing off and am sure some in there thought I was taking the moral high ground. So yes, I do wear one - but always with some misgivings - the main one being that people will assume that I have the same attitudes as dimwits like Dai. None of my ancestors were killed in any war (they're all Irish); Churchill was a vile, arrogant, Tory twat; I'm well left of centre; I despise the crass, populist patriotism of the right wing press (all that "our boys" ****e) and I do not glorify the British Armed Forces. But I chose to wear the poppy for the usual obvious reasons. And..that Sunderland player gets my total respect for having the courage of his convictions, sticking to his principles, especially when he must have known he'd get torn to bits by all and sundry. Daft really - if you were going to target all those British people who didn't wear one you'd be dealing with 90+% of the population. Strange also, that Konman's powerfully argued comments have not been tackled by one of the Dai brigade on here. Probably because they know that they haven't got the answers.
After being persecuted by the world for centuries which resulted in millions of deaths in WW2 there was little option. With great freedoms come great responsibility, only with discussion and the ballot box can things be moved forward even then the actions of a particular age can be easily judged with the hindsight of decades.
gendros your wasting your time pal....If they had served like we have and seen our mates die defending our country they would have a better opinion....the fact is we served our country and they dont have a clue what its like or why....No war is illegal if our country enters into it.....
