Yet another shocking atmosphere at the SoL with no backing for the team whatsoever...What the hell has happened to our our home support.
Imo the fans have been like the players. Up for the last two big games, Chelsea n Man C, and then just deflated again yesterday. I hated it when the away fans were behind the goal but since moving them in the North stand upper the atmosphere has gotten worse.
so all the time Wickham does **** all we have to say it's his age? ****ing rubbish pal. plus Sterling is overrated to, all the lad is a road runner.
It's not "****ing rubbish" it's an opinion and it's different to yours. Doesn't make either of us right or wrong. You know nothing about him and all you have is expectancy. I also know nothing about him but I have seen what he is capable of given a run of games in his best position (you probably have too unless you missed the last 10 games of last season). My opinion is as valid as yours and us as right as yours. It's just different
The lad played in his best position against Spurs & Burnley & did **** all to. of course it's all about opinions but this age thing doesn't wash. if the lad is doing **** all then he shouldn't start week in week out.
No ****, I thought you pick the team music boy. With Wickham getting pick all the time it just proves how overrated Poyet is. like people know on here, I'm not Poyet biggest fan.
Yes I mkniw as well. But I can't work out why? We are solid. He took a team who got beaten 8-0 and has turned them into a solid defensive unit. First box ticked. Every good side built is built from a defensive base. Now we can work on getting the forward line the way it should be. As bri says, Wickham and Johnson were more like wingers having to defend rather than inside forwards and that's down to pace missing. Gus has started building the side and he is getting things right IMO. Or is my opinion wrong again security boy
I like what poyet has done in making us hard to beat but he needs to start going for matches move & needs to change up his tactics for the different styles we come up again pal. that & picking wickham all the time is my only beef I got with poyet at this moment in time.
Thing is Fletcher against Chelsea and City was nowhere. I tank Wickham should be played through the middle personally with 2 from our creative players out wide (The AJ, Alvarez mould). If he is going to insist on playing fletcher up top then Wickham should be benched IMO. I like Poyet and have no problem with what he's doing. It's far better that what I was watching last seasons. Just need some bite up top. Hopefully next weekend!!
