The last match of the season and the first time we can relax Unusually for us we'll be in the ground early, for the minute's silence, and will stay for the lap of honour. It's been a nightmare of a season but I think the players deserve some credit for what they eventually achieved.
Gerrin Loads of this : Make sure you take your clapping hands!
Can't see it unless there are injuries. He'll want to finish with a win, so an unchanged side, walking wounded notwithstanding.
I remember last season the stadium emptied out for the lap of honour, I imagine it will be different this season Wish I was gonna be there, hopefully a cracking game Enjoy
Could be a special day mate .... a lot to reflect on isn't there? The media ****storm, Durham Miners farce & the players revolt seem like something from the olden days ..... was it really only August
i was raped during the 5-1 spurs game like, my arse also needs a rest my faith went completely for a good 10 days, but then it came back! i wasnt literally raped mind, just felt abused
For the first time in 9 months I won't bother trying to get up or sit up until the middle of the night to watch the match. This one matches the 62 and 63 seasons when we missed promotion on the last game of the season. Went down on a third of a goal in 58 and missed promotion twice by one point, and I thought I had seen it all with SAFC.
I'm hopping that we turn up for this game and end the season on a high, though I won't hold my breath. I came on here earlier on in the season when Poyet had just been appointed, and told you all that you would not be going down now that he was manager, it was met with some scepticism which was understandable, but I also stated as long as he plays Borini up front sufficiently enough, then you'll be ok, and I'm sure you can now see where I was coming from. I have watched Poyet when he was in charge of Brighton, only because he took some Swansea players (Orlandi, Painter), and his football was good, and only ended because of issues with Brighton board. Anyway I'm going for a 2-1 Swansea win, in the hope that our boys will want to put right their poor performance of last week against the Saints!...............
I'm s'posed to be playing there for the post match entertainment around 5pm ish - before nipping up into Northumberland for another gig - as you say its a canny pub
