It's a belter, clearly just skin damage but still uncomfortable to play with.

According to The Guardian's correspondent on north-east football, the Sunderland team for tomorrow is:

Ustari; Celustka, Cuellar, Vergini, Dossena; Mavrias, Larsson, Gardner, Cattermole, Giaccherini; Scocco

As a Saints fan I'd be delighted if you fielded that side.

As a Sunderland fan I'd be more delighted than you.

With a cup final approaching, plus some important games, we can't afford to risk the likes of Mannone, Ki & Borini.

I think most of us are happy to rest our important players and watch Mavrias, Ustari, Scocco & Ustari etc.

It's a 'no lose' match for Sunderland, unless we draw.

Well it's certainly not his f**king arm is it?

A knee, a shin and a sock on the end ........ it has leg written all over it in my opinion.

Been looking at some of the news reports from Southampton.........I bet they'll be glad to leave if the roads are open.
Hope it all calms down soon.
What a long, miserable journey but the game is intriguing so perhaps the excitement, skill and spectacle will help to cheer them up.
    Best wishes.
