Proof that the likes of Gouffran, Marveaux, Taylor etc are simply not good enough

 

If this was taken as proof of this by the club, then I'd call this 6-0 defeat a good result!

 

It's obvious what we're doing.....lulling the mackems (and the rest of football) into a false sense of security by PRETENDING we have an abysmal squad of inept, wantaway lumps of coal. Naturally. Ahem.

 

If our first team [with a striker] turn up in March then there will be only one outcome.....

Got to wonder what was the point. In the league, we concede and can't score. Let's see how our reserves get on.....oh, I see - we concede A LOT and DEFINITELY can't score.

 

Apparently that lot played their first team, or close to it. We played a bunch of poor fringe players and U21's.

 

I hadn't seen either of the teams except those mentioned on here, but would have assumed both teams would have been playing fringe players and players coming back from injury. Can't see any purpose in playing first team players in a game like this at this stage of the season. Not sure what Allerdyce's thinking was if he did play some. Seems crazy.

 

Means nothing really though. Both teams probably using it to get players a bit of match fitness after injury/non selection in last few games. As someone put on our board,may well have been other clubs invited there as well to run the rule over possible loan signings (from both clubs) who have'nt been playing regularly. Not even bothered about the result,because we don't know how much effort was put into the game. Come the REAL game, probably not see many of todays players involved

 

So that's us stuck with our unwanted players for another six months

 

Apparently we were all over them even after the ridiculous sending off and they only had 5 shots on target and scored 6.

Now far be it from me to use a meaningless friendly kickabout to put the boot in but...

Steve McClaren. What a legend. Howay I know they were all reserves but Darlow, Taylor, Riviere, Marveaux, Aarons, Gouffran, Lascelles make up 7 of our 25 PL squad. They could have at least tried.

 

Supposedly we had 90% possession and football was tremendous. If we keep playing like that we'll have nothing to worry about, or so Steve says.

we will get relegated from the reserve league and sell all of our best reserves.
