Well you miserable bastards, I wont wish you a happy day (tho I suspect you'll have one whatever I wish), but I will wish you all a safe day. Whatever happens, lets hope the idiots on both sides have a quiet day.

Hope you get stuffed, but the state we're in I can't see it myself. Today will probably be the day you match our 5 in a row :(

That will liven the place up a bit. Think we're due home preseason friendly with them.

Got us down for a win today - just think Dick will be the difference.

A draw would not be a disaster!!

I would normally be there but recovering from illness.

Will be watching in The Crusoe, Lower Largo, Fife.

    Have a fab day!!

    Wear-Tyne derby team news
    Published: 05 April, 2015
    by Kate Smith

    Advocaat names his XI.

Lee Cattermole returns to Sunderland’s starting line-up this afternoon to face Newcastle United after serving his two game ban.

The 27 year-old comes in for Jack Rodwell; while Santiago Vergini replaces the injured Wes Brown and Billy Jones starts ahead of Anthony Reveillere, with the Frenchman named on the bench.

Advocaat has opted for the same attacking line-up as he did in his first game in charge at West Ham, with Connor Wickham, Jermain Defoe and Steven Fletcher all starting.

Sunderland: Pantilimon, Jones, van Aanholt, O'Shea (c), Vergini, Cattermole, Gomez, Larsson, Fletcher, Wickham, Defoe.

Subs: Bridcutt, Johnson, Reveillere, Graham, Coates, Buckley, Mannone.

    That Newcastle team is shocking.

Any team should be beating them, no excuses.

Some of them Dutch lads are well into the Wear-Tyne derby. There was a small-ish Dutch boat at the Tall Ships Race on the Tyne in '86, and they wound up the crowd on both banks of the river a treat. Quote :

Lad on boat : Howay ze la-a-ds.
Crowd on both banks : (big cheers)
Lad on boat : Howay ze la-a-ds.
Crowd on both banks (big cheers)
    Lad on boat : Zonderland
Crowd on both banks : (big, very loud, unrepeatables)!

It was so funny. He wound them up a treat. <laugh><laugh><laugh>
