I thought the same early on, I think CH wants 3 up front but doesn't want to commit a midfielder <laugh>

So frustrating that kind of chance not being taken or at least seriously testing the keeper from fer. Don't know why he's trying to stroke it home wrong footing the keeper, just smash it and give him no chance.

An odd half really, we were a bit flat at time but probably had the better chances. Fer's shot towards the end being the best of them.

If only Hooper had been on the end of that Fer chance on the edge of the box.
There'd have been some rippling of onion bags occurring <ok>

We are playing quite well and I think we can take this. As long as we turn up in the second half we should be ok.

    Fingers crossed!

At times were defending far too deep. apart from Bassong whose new contract seems to have a pretty health goal bonus in it.

Surely the speed of the passing can be increased, it's too pedestrian

All Sunderland's shots on target are being saved in the centre of goal. Does that mean they're shooting straight at Ruddy?

Can't believe that was a straight red for Wes Brown

That red card will hurt Sunderland over the next few games. I'll take 0-0 though, we were second best for most of the second half but I never really thought we'd concede. Still carried a threat on occasions too, much like the WBA game.

Not sure it should of been a straight red but it was a bad tackle and above everything else very stupid.

Agreed. A yellow would have been sufficient under the circumstances. It was clumsy perhaps, not reckless.
