I think that too, we need a hard man in the middle to protect him & Kim, between them I can see only good times.
Did you watch Bayern v Madrid last night. Modric was superb as were most of Madrid. My point is that like Daehli, Modric isn't blessed with pace, stature or tackling ability but has skill, excellent control, balance and vision and is a brilliant play maker. I see Daehli being able to develop into that role. Play him a little deeper with a minder and players ahead of him who can run the channels and find gaps, inside and outside. If we can get the right mix next season, he could be awesome. Whether or not he can get to Modric's level is another matter but he has all the attributes necessary to kick on.
