We wanted it today you did not seem that bothered tbh Last week we were knackered after 120 mins in Boro, this week the trip to Milan did not do you any favours. When I lived in London, neighbours had 3 season tickets and I got the spare if it was going. The present Arsenal team are probably the worse team I have seen (except RvP and perhaps Oxo) since pre George Graham, and pre Ian Wright. We are a skilful hard working side and for once, despite the poor ref, your lot were very chocolate soldiers and fell over an awful lot, I know it was cold and a fierce wind (good on your away support as well) but really it showed you lack of appetite/fight
I think many Arsenal fans are upset because the situation we are in could've been avoided. The board didn't put a gun to Wenger's head and tell him to buy kids, that was HIS decision and his stubborn refusal to admit he got it wrong is what is costing us. To fix the problem now he must buy players suited to us, not just potential that rarely fulfills itself. And some of his tactical decisions have been dreadful. Thats not the board's fault either.
How can anyone blame Fab? 1st goal was deflected of ****lachi and the second was an own goal. Fab had a solid game.
10 points after 25 games is quite big. That equates to a 15 point gap at the end of the season, and that is a sizeable gap.
Terrible performance today. Can't be asked to write a long analysis but a clear out is needed. Maybe even time for the manager to leave. But until the season is over I will back this team until its all over. That starts with Spurs at home next week.
Which rather proves the point I was making the other day in this - http://salutsunderland.com/2012/02/arsenal-a-club-in-crisis-give-us-a-break/ - ... I know it must be hard no longer to expect as of right to win every game, compete for every trophy. But finishing fourth if you do, reaching the last 16 of two major cups, having one of the best managers in the world (despite the myopia) is a combination that falls a long way short of disaster. You do need a little humility; football would be incredibly boring if we simply named the winners of everything in August. You were beaten by the better side on the day. You might have had a penalty. We might have had one. Ref got it right both times in my view but either could have been given. You might have had one player sent off as Cattermole would have been playing away in similar circumstances. And you'll still finish above us in the league.
Willa Pond - nothing bitter or personal. All I am trying to say is - these days you do not need to know where the goal is to beat Arsenal.
Breaking News http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/fm-stories-archived/64925-wenger-resigns.html Im shocked but it had to happen.
He'd never resign either. He's too arrogant, he believes the team to be the problem, not his poor management.
