Swindon have signed a goalie from Birmingham on an emergency loan. Connal Trueman will no doubt have a blinder...................but still pick the ball up out the net a few times.

I reckon we need to win 13 of the remaining 16 games to go up automatically.
It's a big ask, we've won 13 so far and obviously a lot of them draws haven't helped.
Peterborough have hit form again and will need to seriously fook up.
    Lincoln and Hull are erratic.
Hopefully that continues especially with nerves setting in.
Portsmouth are there for the taking, we're only a point behind.
Doncaster have 2 games in hand but really falling off the pace.
    Hopefully that continues.
We still have to play them four.

We can't afford to come out like we did on Saturday and must put teams on the back foot from the off. Every player needs to give it their all now.
Fair do's for Johnson shaking it up. Nearly paid off with a win,

Still, it's a funny old game as someone used to say.

This was the first game I took my daughter to and she was hooked, she was 13 at the time and loved the whole day. We got back to Park Lane bus station about 11-30 and couldn't get a taxi so I had to carry her on my back all the way to the top of Cleveland Road. I was knackered when I got home.

On final day we are going to have a pizza party then watch the match, I know it's a **** all cup but let's win for a change.

As for Tuesdays game I expect a win for the Lads and again on Saturday.

    Ha'Way The Lads.

    Great thread RTB.

I was living in London at the time, I rang up the ticket office and got a pair of tickets - no queue, no coupons, no questions asked.
We were a bit close to the Swindon fans but had a great day in the sun - despite the result.
I always remember the Mags arguing that they had finished above us and we lost to Swindon so it should have been them that went up instead. <laugh> They obviously forgot who beat them in the play-off semi final :emoticon-0102-bigsm

What I really like about our new gaffer is he can change games with subs. The 5 subs rule helps but I always look at the subs he makes and think good decisions. Cant remember the last time we had that about us. It is like the rugby lads say - we dont have subs we have finishers and game changers.

I think Leadbitter will be a big miss for us whilst he is out. He sets the tempo for us and has a calmness about him that puts others at ease. Chance for Winchester to make a start perhaps and I think he has looked good so far. Even better when we can get O'Nien back in there.

I think Jones may get a start tomorrow. Possibly at the expense of O'Brien. I like O'Brien because he does so many of the hard yards and he will be important for the rest of the season. He might need a breather though as he has grafted last bunch of games. I want to see Jones from the start as he looks a cut above. Lets see.

Lets hope we get the performance level back up. Do that and the result will follow.

If you put Jones in at the expense of AOB do you have Gucchi on the right, Jones on the left with McGeady behind Charlie? Fairly formidable forward line.

I listened to a podcast with McGeady talking about his career and I'm sure he said he never really started out as a winger. He wanted to play central as a no 10. I'll see if I can find the link, it's a canny listen tbh.

Despite the result had a great day. Went down in car with my best mate. Filled the car with cans and bottles and sold them from the boot from 9 am near Wembley Way Sold out.. We dressed as Hula Hula girls. Both of us 6’3”. We were in the Europa Balcony Swindon end. We walked at the front of about 500 Swindon lads singing our songs and never had a sniff of bother.
Inside the ground we were greeted with friendship.
After the game we drove to Harpenden and stayed the night at a mates house ( Arsenal season tkt holder). He introduced me to his partners sister who turned up wearing knee length leather boots. She was gorgeous.
We stayed that night and the next. Happy Days.

I was there as well. Another of those Wembley dates where we did not turn up but as you say it did not matter.

Unfortunately I do remember it mate. First Wembley play off final I think.

I remember Pascoe making the team. That made me think we would win but we barely got a touch. They passed it round us all day. I think we beat them in the league as well so I was confident before, but then I always have been an optimistic sod.

It's a good podcast to be honest. They do a one about 'how the other half live' i.e the English Prem. Kevin Kyle is on it. If you like podcasts it's worth subscribing to.

So, Flanagan and Stewart have both had setbacks according to Johnson :emoticon-0138-think

Back 3 of McLaughlin, O'Nien and Sanderson then? :emoticon-0127-lipss

We will need to score at least 2 to win, that back line gives me nightmares, and that's before we even mention McFadzean
