I have so much respect for our very own traveling Jacks. Its good to hear hymns and arias anywhere but I feel so proud when I hear it sung away from home. Always puts a smile on my face.

Much respect to you my friend and to all the travelling Jacks. You make us Jacks very proud indeed, proud of our club and proud of you, keep on singing you Jack Basterds<ok>

So are you expecting me to be surprised that we haven't got a good team atm, have been run well for a good few years? If you do, you are mistaken.

Never realised Swansea City had always been so good?

I'm not sure what point you were trying to make in all honesty.

I think you do Rick, I think you do <ok>

Anyhoo, your reply stated, in big bold letters for oommfff to emphasise and highlight its importance to you that you'd "Never realised Swansea City had always been so good?"

Where have you been Ricky boy!? Or, did someone actually say contrary to your understanding that Swansea City has always been a good team and you foolishly believed them? Nah Rick, don't you believe it boy, I know its hard to take in but we used to be crap and we were crap for a very long time. So there, now you know <ok>

I can assure you too Rick, that all Jacks on this forum and in sunny Swansea know exactly how bad we were and where we've come from. We were so crap at one time we faced our own demise. That is until a group of immortal Jack basterds, fans included, got together, dug deep, fought for and saved our club. Not only did they do this but they bought it too and to fill the gaps with an old cliche 'the rest is history'

So don't be disheartened with the current Black Cat dross being served up there in the cold and don't despair in your chairman for lying and penny pinching you to death, your club can be saved and you Rick could be the fan to do it.

By the way, gonna answer any questions I asked you Rick?

The bold bit was in reply to the bold bit I highlighted. Fail.

So why did you say Swansea have never been rock bottom, yet then go on to tell me all about the struggles of scfc?

Probably rock bottom of the premiership he meant.....we have been 20 minutes from losing our league status a decade ago......now thats what i would call rock bottom...

Bit of a daft statement then considering you have been much much poorer than bottom of the league, or where we have ever been. That is unless he is just arguing the toss of course..

We were talking about 'propping up the league', premier league, Rick and assuming you have standard intelligence I thought you able follow the thread of a basic post.

    However, I also asked

What u think of Johnathan DeGusman?

Your thoughts on your club borrowing players instead of buying them?

Your thoughts on Ellis Short, is he treating you fans and your club with disdain and disrespect by lying to you? Is Mikey Gray right? or is it just journo jizz (bad press)?

You didn't mention 'propping up the league'. The use of the word 'never' however, would suggest longer than your current stint in the top tier. What is 'clutching at straws' in welsh? Is an ironing board a 'board smoothio'? Haha.

You are questioning loaning players. IMO it has its positives and negatives. I assume then Swansea have never loaned a player. How much did JDG cost from Villarreal?

I haven't seen much of JDG recently to rate him as good or bad. Your thoughts on him?

I don't know what is going on behind closed doors. Seems like Short is trying to get us running in the black and in line with FFP. As a result there is little available for wages/transfer fees.

If you didn't waffle so much in the first place then it would not seem like you were trying to make some sort of point that got completely lost in the ramblings. Just seems like you are arguing the toss.
Whats the consensus on that celebration down there?

I think its that bad it is good, in a way.

Not arguing the toss just making a point you failed to see Rick. Unfortunately any point you may have simply gets lost in your condescension Rick so, to move things along, I'll ignore your ignorance and simply address your questions directly, we'll see how we get on shall we?

RE: JDG - Not seen him play for a year so attributes may have changed, but while with us:
Pros: able to spot and deliver an accurate pass, quick and nimble, capable of intricate attacking play around the opposing box, links up well in midfield and he possesses a very good shot which translates into a dead-ball threat - see Valencia Vs Swansea.
Cons: with us anyway: bumped off the ball easily and dispossessed all too often, rarely tracked back (ever), weak in the tackle, faded in and out of games a lot, especially when the going got rough and tough.
Compared to Ki, because you know him, JDG is similar in attack but is not the box to box player Ki is. Ki is by far the better of the two and I doubt JDG would make the bench much for us this year. I think too the Black Cats could do better as I doubt he'd suite you, imo he lacked spirit and it felt like he was just passing through.

Do you think then that Ellis Short is getting un-deserved bad press?. Talk-sport are all over him since he banned Micky Gray from SoL. No one believes or even cares what talk-sport says so, maybe from a fan, the horses mouth so to speak, we may get a broader view with an element of reality to it.

Gomis celebration - funny, odd, great, weird, terrible, good and bad in about the same measures. Whatever it is its certainly unique.

Only one reason for it but there's two explanations why
One - allegedly in the changing room Gomis is called the Panther, his celebration therefor is......you guessed it.
Two - the view I subscribe to, is that, although French, Gomis' family and ancestry is Senegalese. Most of his family still lives there apparently. Now, the Senegal National Football Team is know as the Lions of Teranga so his 'Lion' impression, I know, stop laughing, is a nod to his family who still live there, his ancestral roots and maybe a little bit of national pride. Whatever the reason it'll get him plenty of highlights and coverage. All he's got to do is keep scoring the goals of course.
