Not sure, I think I saw most of the second half. We had most of the ball, so the defence wasn't really challenged, and most of the attack came from the left side, the LB, #16 was very influencial.

I just looked at some photos of Hume. He had two good dribbling attacks when he was the widest and deepest safc player, the small crowd seemed to really appreciate one of them. Don't recall any crosses. We seemed to always be attacking but didn't get many shots on goal.

Good stuff, keep the wins coming. Good to hear Ruiter kept a clean sheet and saved two pens if someone can teach him what near post shots are he might turn out to be ok backup.

As I said before I'd like us to make a go of it in this cup and I think we've just about got the strength in depth to put a run together. Winning a cup would be great even if there is almost no prestige in it.

Sinclair, McGeough, O'Nien and Hume scores the pens, in that order.

I'm pleased with that obviously. For the first time, I'm just going to mention that I think our bubble could burst soon.

Against Gillingham the 4-1 scoreline flattered us. Next was Wimbledon and we were lucky to still be in the game at HT, still not sure how we came back and won that game. Oxford were better than us from the very first minute and I know we went down to 10 men and done exceptionally well to get a draw, but again we just about done it. We rested a lot of players tonight but still put out a very strong side and we played Stoke U21's. I think we should have been looking to put them away and from what I gathered the first hour was pretty tight and then we pretty much bossed the last third of the game without creating much. I'm just wondering how long we can keep pushing our luck for because a couple of games recently could have went against us, quite easily.

I think you're right about the bubble potentially bursting soon and we have been a bit lucky but on the other hand if the other teams in the league don't have the quality to punish us then we can afford to have off days and ride our luck. We should get better as we go along too I don't think there can be many (if any) teams in league one that are as newly assembled as we are.

Anyone watching tonight how did Sinclair play and how did it look with him and Wycke upfront?

As soon as I wrote it, I knew the come back would be about our quality. You're right too. Not sure why I wrote it now.

I expect us to keep getting stronger the longer this season goes on. I just don't want us to slip up against that prick this weekend.

I know what you mean though, we have been relying on increasing amounts of luck to get through games and you wouldn't expect that to last. Hopefully lessons quickly being learned from the games where we've needed to rely on the other teams inability to hit the ball on target to get a result.

Great to see the fight in them anyway innit, pride being restored.

Oh **** yeah it's Barton at Fleetwood I'd forgotten that, hope we stuff them.

He looked healthy and most likely to score but I don't recall a shot on goal, despite having a lot of touches in the box. I only remember the U23 striker up front when Sinclair was attacking.

I thought before the season the most difficult time for us would be the first 6 to 10 games because Ross had to put a team together where they are virtual strangers. Never thought after the first 6 we would have won 4 and drawn 2. As mentioned as the season goes on I think we will come stronger and stronger and if in January we are near the top I would expect Stewie to open the purse strings for the final push for the end of the season. Have we been lucky in games so far...yes...but the old story is you make your own luck. Considering we have had very little of that over the years I'm not complaining now....lol. We are getting through our vulnerable period with some good players to return from injury. Also, I think the most pleasing thing is the amount of times we have come from behind which suggests there is the thing we have been missing for so long.....true grit and team spirit. Just need to concentrate on getting better starts to games and not giving the opposition a goal head start before we start to play. All in all after 6 games....just what the doctor ordered.

I was impressed by Sinclair.. he has quick feet and not afraid to run at people.. I fully expect him to play some part in Saturday's game..

Winning is a habit, I really don't care at this stage how we win as long as we do...as has been said, this is team thrown together in the summer, they have done amazing so far. It could have easily gone the other way and we were struggling to get results. The longer the season goes on, the stronger this group will become. Has to said tho, the level of football in League 1 is rank bad, so I would expect us to do well.

For me the biggest thing to take from last night is that going forward Hume is very good and will be suited to three at the back with him as a wing back. He was caught a couple of times with balls over he top allowing their wide man in behind him, so still work to do but all in all better than Love.

We do seem to be very suscetible to the ball over the top if the opposition have someone with pace up front.. Definitely something we need to work on..

Love has already obstructed one of our academy players who I thought would make progress, hope its not the case with Denver Hume. As an aside I still think Robbie Stockdale was the best man for the Academy job. <ok>
