I might be being a bit picky here but if the early groups are rationalized how come Stoke are in our group? I get it with Carlisle and Morecambe but Stoke, how does that work?
Leagues priority for me, give a few lads that haven’t played that much some game time, and opportunity to impress etc, and go from there. If we win, great, if not it’s not the end of the world. Having a fully fit squad is the most beneficial for us, currently, as long as nobody get injured we’ll be grand.
Tonight could be a contest between Mcgeouch, Robson and ONiel who replaces Power and make their mark in the first team. Power will be missed but luckily we are blessed in the midfield department.
It seems U21s only exist in this competition, and the youth league system is still U23s. How utterly bizarre.
