I dont think anyone wants changes on the stroke of half time, that would be abit silly wouldnt it.
Changes from 60mins plus would be good though, especially when we're 3 up against a shyte team playing in shyte conditions

Thats good news, and lucky it wasnt a torn hamstring or anything. On the downside he'll have to sit out of training for the next few days now to get back up and running for Saturday.

It could and should have been avoided.

There is no way to know what would have happened or what will happen if PP decides to rotate the squad.

It is a genuine question to ask, not denying that. My point is that, instead of enjoying the win people are criticising straight after the game.
End of the day, managers call to make. Seems to be working so far so I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts (this is Sunderland after all)

There always seems to be something to complain or critisise about for certain people. If we can complain straight after a 3 0 win, no ****ing wonder it all goes to **** when we get a couple of bad results.

It is easy to judge whether Parky is doing a good job, we keep winning and get promotion...

It is also legitimate to ask whether or not to keep on with a winning side, or to freshen it up.

Logic suggests that injuries and mental/physical fatigue will occur before the end of the season and we will need other players to slot on...so...

He needs coaching on his crossing too. His delivery into the box last night was abysmal.

I think that's the hesitation tbh, he should be given a Summerbee dvd dv watch.

Wyke also needs to work with Hume in where he wants the ball.

I don't know if you're talking about social media in general but the lads on here who are talking about the lack of subs, myself included, aren't the type to **** the bed at the first sign of trouble so I don't see the problem really.

Everyone's very happy with how things are going it's only natural to look at things that can be improved further or things that might bugger things up for us down the line.

Only niggle I have is the atmosphere was unbelievably ****e even when we were battering them..And then half the crowd couldn't even be arsed to stay to the end to applaud an excellent team performance.

Now you're talking mate. Wyke would score a lot more with him on the park.

The thing is there wasn't just Wyke in the box to aim at, and yet Hume still didn't find a red and white shirt. There's a player there, no doubt, but he has to work on his final ball if he wants to play higher up the leagues. He had countless opportunities, particularly in the first half. In the second half, he seemed more reluctant to take the ball on and deliver a cross, so maybe his confidence to do that is a little low. Nothing that work on the training ground can't fix though.

I appreciate what you're saying mate, but it was bitter cold, and in the second half it would have been nice to have more things to cheer.

We rarely looked like scoring in that second half, so although I stayed to the end, I felt like many others that I wouldn't be missing anything if I buggered off and got warm. There was plenty of 'Haway The Lads' sung to try to rouse the team, but they played well within themselves, which is understandable with a big game coming up 3 days later.

I can't argue with any of that.

Attackers knew exactly what would happen as soon as Summerbee got the ball within crossing range ...

... so did their defenders but he only needed the slightest advantage and away it went, ping!

Perhaps the wind didn't help, last night, but it definitely needs good coaching.

Not saying its you, but though the majority in here wouldnt **** the bed, they're are a few who do.

Imo, There s a difference between saying they'd like to see parky rotate the squad and "Parky got it wrong, should have made earlier subs, injury could and should have been avoided..." like parky has a crystal ball

The second half was always going to be an anticlimax as they were quite happy to keep the score down , the team were probably told to ease off a little as well -job done ,important game at Oxford on Saturday . The atmosphere was typical of a Friendly/Testimonial type of game as consequence so the fans could not be falted on a bitter cold night . Must confess I am old school and would never change a winning team , as said on a previous posting the new players have to wait for their chance to get in to the side it isn’t and shouldn’t happen as a matter of course .

I think people (me included) are just wanting to see the new lads play as they’ve came with a prity good reputation tbh.

That and why keep playing your best team when the games already won at halftime, and we are going to need these new players over the course of the season, and if there only getting a 5/10 min run out every other game there hardly Gona be match fit and ready if there is an injury.

I was surprised when Lafferty came on for Wyke. Really expected one of the central midfielders to be hooked, in order to give Scowen a run out.

Interesting that only Liverpool and Cheltenham have conceded less goals in their respective leagues than us this season (Top 5 divisions)

    Edit: Missed Sheffield United
