It was a harsh red imo but he gave the ref a decision to make when it was not necessary, and in doing so cost us the advantage..
They have spoken a lot about how things are going at Sunderland tbf. I've learnt a lot about Sunderland just from this one game.
Happy with that. I was surprised to hear the commentators saying that Jackett would be happy with a one nil, I wouldn't have been if I was him. I thought we were a bit more savvy in that game, we won quite a few soft free kicks that we wouldn't normally have and it got under their skin.
Respectfully disagree mate, yellow yes, but never a straight red. I was genuinly shocked when he pulled the red on your lad, i had to watch the replay to actually believe it. I'll be interested to see the SKY review of it. Might change my opinion, but at the moment, i don't think it was a red.
I don't think it was a red, but I can't help feeling that it was the fact that ozturk lifted his leg up after initial contact that went against him. Did the ref give the red for a dangerous tackle rather than a professional foul? He's wrong either way in my opinion.
There is a long way to go yet, one small step in the right direction, but who knows, the first job is to keep our heads down there. and not throw it away as we have done so often against this team. The evidence so far has pointed to us as being the best of two average sides. OaU.
He was doing OK up to that point which makes it even worse, this team are cute, and we are not, it will be a real test down there and whatever the result it is no way to prepare for a final, we need better defenders, if we had their central defenders we would walk this league.
Much better performance second half. Everyone seemed to up their game, except Morgan who was rightly subbed for the King, what a goal! ...and that was never a red card!!!!
