dodgy performance today we played in the north stand first half, and maybe that's what did it, should been out of sight before half time like but another win and clean sheet. let's see Sterling start on Tuesday with Watmore etc. It is on the telly as well ! sky.
I'm pretty sure that we didn't. According to what I've seen, the reports were of the same opinion as Gil - our best 45 minutes of football since Scunthorpe at home. So which game were you at?
That's 3 wins on the bounce which people wanted. Scoring more than 1 a game as people wanted. Keeping a clean sheet as people wanted. Surely no complaints ....
I've got a complaint and that is the penalty decision that wasn't a penalty apparently. Just seen the pictures of it and have to say if you had that decision instead of us then I think you peoples would be fuming. Had it gone to 1 - 1 then who knows. But once again we move on as it's pointless to do otherwise. I noticed a comment about our Manager and sore loser earlier in your thread. Weasel Woopert from the Isle of Wight liked it but he would. I looked back on our previous down here this season and there were 2 penalty shouts we never got anywhere near despite one almost identical to today's. You got one which I thought at the time was not and it was a bit soft. So that's 3 penalties in two games not given. I don't think that's being a sore loser I think that's a pi^^ed off manager at the Referee. Your's wouldn't be handing out plaudits in the same circumstances either. If it comes to the playoffs and you play Portsmouth then I will be cheering you on. That's assuming either of you get there of course. Think you will if honest but don't think either will get automatic now. Luton and Barnsley are both flying at the minute and don't look like stopping. We have to play both at home and Luton are next Saturday,
Ross doesn't really get involved in complaining about bad decisions or commenting on other teams he tends to keep himself to himself and accept that what has happened can't be changed. I haven't seen the penalty call today and can't remember the others but to be fair if you had been awarded three extra penalties in those two games, and scored them all against a quality keeper, you'd still only have one more point than you do now. Maybe you deserve it and maybe not but it wouldn't do much for you.
Barnsley are flying a full point ahead of us if we win our game in hand, we are above them. So yeah totally uncatchable. We’ve actually only started gelling the last 4 games, that’s the actual truth and these 2 wonder sides are right there. Top marks for being perceptive in your opinion that you ‘think we will make the playoffs’ given we are 13 points clear of dropping out of the spots and have lost 2 games all season . Whatever the decision we were the better side both games, you lot haven’t looked a bad side at all in either. Suck it up mate and all the best for the remainder.
That just reads like you've spat your dummy out. I don't think you're a very good loser, Greeny. You've played two games against us and fired blanks, both times. It's a little bit embarrassing for you to putting the blame down to a few dodgy penalty decisions when you should be questioning why your team couldn't find the net once against us in 180 minutes. We've only been beaten twice, all season. We are 2 points behind Barnsley with a game in hand. We should still be very positive about our chances of going up automatically. Talking about us not being guaranteed a play off place is bat **** crazy.
Just not wanting to jinx anything for anyone by making assumptions is all although I would exclude Portsmouth from the jinx bit. I have moved on and was merely pointing out why Adams might have been a tad upset. Your Board members would have been spitting feathers had those decisions been made against your team and if you are honest you would admit that. If you read back on the Argyle board for the match day against yourselves you would see that there is clearly an acknowledgement that you are a good side. I have read a load of submissions on here when you have dropped points about not being happy and a shed load about Ref decisions as well. We all have a right not to be happy if we think they were wrong. Giving an opinion about who I think will go up automatically is also just that, my opinion. I do read the points and games left stuff and I still think the top two will stay there. You have improved of late but are still capable of dropping points having drawn 14. You have to win your game in hand and then match every game Barnsley play from there on. Can be done of course but not sure you will. If I were you lot I'd be thinking we will as well but I'm an outsider so can be less partisan.
You know we’ve played Luton twice and Barnsley once and not lost also? We beat Barnsley 4-2. Luton got a draw with a dubious penalty but we just had to accept that, and did. Since half time v Accrington we are in the most fluid and consistent form we’ve had all season, that’s 3.5 games, yet we are still above Barnsley if we win game in hand. That’s 3 in a row, 10 goals in 4 games. You think they are flying? Yeah well so are we. Luton drew at home to Coventry just a week ago and needed late goals today, these aren’t 2 immovable objects by any stretch. Man for man we are the best in the division, and now, at the effect time for the run in, we are starting to look a proper team. That’s all that’s been lacking, but you can see it. We didn’t play top class today, but it was immaculate, convincing, comfortable and frankly comprehensive. We’ve not kept many clean sheets but we’ve 2 in a row, so that’s improving too. Yeah, we will be alright I think.
