I will ya twat.... I have a pathological fear of cotton wool so, if you were wrapped in it, I'd be terrified of you!!
My take on it is that these refs want to be refereeing at a higher level - we all have ambition. But I think they're coming to SAFC thinking - "I'm going to show the FA I'm not intimidated by a big crowd and big club atmosphere" and going as far as they can to show that by simply refereeing 2 different games - one for us and one for the opposition Marcus you are spot on there mate That’s my feelings aswell
Why does Oviedo's stupid red card make me wonder if he is looking for an out of the team. It was more than unprofessional, it was deliberately provocative with no reason whatsoever for his kick out.
seems like most teams get to our gaff and wind-us up to get a result. Sadly, it works. We need to learn fast and put teams to bed early with the chances we create
I thought he was fouled first and the lad pushed his arm in Oviedo's face. To be honest, he kicked him up the arse! Technically a red card but I've seen much worse go without a talking to in games this season. the challenge on Flanaghan by their 17 was, imo a red card - went with his elbow and bust his nose - he booked him later on for a slightly late but nothing challenge just to try to appease the crowd I think!!
I mean it was a shock that an experienced player would react in such a manner, not the fact that he should not have been sent off, but equally Maddison I think it was who deliberately provoked the incident should also have walked. Incidents like this should be investigated thoroughly and the decisions overruled or reversed, if the circumstances merit it, otherwise it will continue to be the cynical spoilers that continue to hold the cards, instead of being shown them.
I just went onto the Peterborough board to see if they had any comments about last night. The only entry since August is from our one and only Monty last night.
Maddison has form for this and it is just a continuation of last season. Penalties is another favourite. Also if you look at Evans' record you will see this is how his teams play so they are encouraged to be as they are. Sadly it is this kind that seem to prosper in football. Take the lead they fall down and roll around a lot. Head injuries abound from seemingly nowhere. I am biased though because I hate Evans.
