Half-time thoughts: 1) I don't usually complain about refs but this one is very poor. 2) Omobamidele is going to be a fantastic defender. 3) We should sack the set-piece coach. 4) Ugly game high on effort, low on skill. 5) A lot of talk saying we struggle with the physicality in the PL. In the Championship as well, it seems. They've bullied us, aided by a lenient and inconsistent referee.
So, which team was most fortunate today? Sunderland had a lot of chances (two off the woodwork), and Norwich had 2 decent penalty claims (arguably 3) Whatever, it's another 3 points and a clean sheet
Sunderland hit the bar twice we should have had at least 2 penalties & Josh looks like a proper striker. Well done @SuffolkCanary
Two definite penalties - Byram dragged to the ground by his collar and the second was even clearer. The ref and lino were abysmal in both. But hey, we won a crucial game away with Brum then Coventry up next.
Plus they should have had a red for the defender taking Sarge out while he was in the air. Player already on a yellow. Strange game, we were hardly in it for large chunks but the non penalties and non red could, if given, have given us a comfortable win.
