One win will be enough? Glad you're happy with that. In our last eight games, as shocking as we've been we've picked up 6 points. We pick up points consistently. stay awful and pick up 6 points in the next 8 games and you with the one win you think will be enough and you're battling it out with Burnley to stay in the league as we're ahead of you. I think you need more than one win myself.

I agree but anyone but Sammy. Obertan or Jonas, probably the latter as Overran will probably wilt in the pressure of a derby. I can't see how we get any result just because of the defence. That said if the team had any sort of confidence we will still have better players overall. We're not very good but there is a reason they sit where they do in the table. And it isn't the officials or whatever other conspiracy they'd have you believe.

Two ****e teams, they need it, we don't, and our defensive options are comical. Janmaat has played one game at centre back in his career. Willo is League 1 or 2. Anita is a midfielder (and fairly average at that), and Raylor though always solid is just back from yet another career threatening injury. If they can't beat us, they are probably gonna go down.

 

With my inclusion of Sammy I was merely thinking it might have a talismanic effect akin to when the Hebrews carried the ark of the covenant into battle ahead of them to frighten the natives.
I'd start with Sammy and then bring Jonas on at about 60 mins. He would also lift the crowd and the players around him.
In a battle you need leaders on the pitch and someone like Jonas could be valuable for his leadership qualities.

 

We're **** because we've been playing a system we don't suit. I couldn't guess how we'll look the rest of the season but if Dick has approached it in the Pulis way of playing to our strengths instead of trying to make them conform to a system then surely we'd show some improvement. Jury is out on what Sunderland we'll see tomorrow and the rest of the season.

 

Or he could have given them so much possession they are out of sight. It matters not, the best we can hope for is to hope it is another derby scrap and ours are up for it.

The bell-end bit makes me believe it's clearly a wind up that he's give somebody else's number out.

Couldn't give a **** either way though, sad ****s, both sets of fans who are going on like this.

 

Sad thing is he knows there are going to be more Newcastle out and out about looking for trouble tomorrow. Newcastle don't help by paying fans £4 for a bus there and back, something which used to be free.

 

All the bother is normally well away from the stadiums. A mate is a copper and the hard core stuff is normally in car parks or fields out of the way.

This is one to look out for tomorrow though... There's always tits on both sides.

I think yesterday's results have made it even harder for us today. The mackems know they absolutely have to win this one now. If they can't beat us in the state we're in at the minute then I really think they're dead and buried. I've gone for a boring 0-0, but now I'm thinking that they will be going all out for a win as a draw is no use to them.

 

Could play into our hands though. Pressure is on them and this year they haven't dealt with the must win games (eg QPR at home) very well. Reckon we are on for a win.
